As you all obviously know by now, Fujitora(Purple Tiger) Issho wants to abolish the Shichibukai system.
The big question is why does he specifically want to destroy that system? You can say that is simply because pirates are abusing the system and causing harm to innocent. Well that is true, as you have people like Blackbeard running a muck because of the system, but its not Fujitora's primary motivation.
The main reason Fujitora wants to abolish the system is because of the 7th Shichibukai.
Still with me? Ok then. Lets go into detail with this.
Confirmed 7th Shichibukai info:
-He is a DF user
-He cut off Zephyr's arm
-It was never stated that the 7th shichibukai was a prisoner in any way.
-He became a shichibukai over the time skip
When Brannew said "The man I've talked about earlier", its obvious that he went into great detail with the 7th shichibukai and some people took that as a hint that the 7th shihibukai is someone we already know but I think not. I say he is someone new and if we heard anything of what Brannew said about him, the number of suspects for the 7th's identity would've been narrowed down heavily.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 7th Shichibukai is a rogue Samurai from Wano-Kuni and he was the one who gave Fujitora the scar on his forehead.
I believe the 7th Shichibukai's appearance is either inspired by the legendary samurai Miyamoto Musashi(1584-1645) or his greatest rival Sasaki Kojiro and his personality is a warped version of Miyamoto's personality, code and actions.
-Miyamoto's style is all about Strategy and Tactics
-Miyamoto Musashi had over 60 duels and never lost one
-Miyamoto won all of his duels with oversized bokkens, which are wooden training sword(s)!
-Miyamoto would do ANYTHING for a good challenge and/or to test his skill and tactics n' strategies. He would challenge entire schools and defeat them single-handedly and absorbed their techniques and take their swords as prizes. Miyamoto used one-sword style until he attacked a two-sword style school and started using 2 swords on a regular. He would even fight in wars that had nothing to do with him.
-Miyamoto was known to be dishonorable and disrespectful
-Miyamoto's most famous, greatest and most challenging rival was Sasaki Kojiro, who wielded a very long nodachi called "The Laundry Drying Pole"(Monohoshizao)
-Sasaki's most famous technique was called "swallow cut."(Tsubani Gaeshi)
-Sasaki Kojiro was known as "The Demon of the Western Providences"
Fuitora and the 7th Shichibukai is the (temporary)representation of the rivalry between Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro.
Don't buy it? Well you should know me by now; I always back up by claims(well tries to at least......)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 7th Shichibukai is a traveling rogue samurai who would do ANYTHING to enhance his cutting power and find a sword worthy of his skills. He is a sword hunter who uses underhanded or "cowardly" tactics to get what he wants. He has no qualms with slaying his enemies even if its woman or children. He pretty much has no shame or honor. He became a pirate because he would attack anyone even marines. The 7th Shichibukai also has a DF that involves cutting and just like Miyamoto, is undefeated.
Both Issho and the 7th shichibukai are traveling swordsmen from Wano. Years ago, they encountered each other. I'm assuming the 7th shichibukai was Silver and Fujitora was Gray, as he did not have a DF until recently.
I can also assume that Issho knows what the other samurai does and knows that he is a bad person. In the TV series Zotaichi, the protagonist got pretty famous and was challenged. The rogue samurai challenged Issho so that he can test a certain tactic/strategy and they had a duel. Issho was winning the battle until the rogue samurai used a sneaky tactic by consealing his DF powers until the right moment. It caught Issho off guard and he received the noticeable scar on his forehead and eyes. With his strategy being a success, the rogue samurai left. It'll be better if the fight took place in a populated area and the rogue samurai slaughtered some citizens much to Issho's disarray or better yet, people close to Issho were killed by him.
Issho is a tiger. He is humble and passive but when his cubs are threatened he bears his fangs and turns into a vicious beast.
When Issho was talking about how the screams of the Dressrosa citizens were of anger and not sadness, it sounded like he was speaking from experience.
Issho continued his travels as a wanderer helping people as he goes(and building gambling debts lol) with regrets as justice wasn't served that day.
The Rogue Samurai continued his sword hunt and he eventually found and challenged "Black Arm" Zephyr to test his cutting power against the former admiral's CoA. Since the rogue samurai is based on Miyamoto, he may have used wooden swords.
How the hell do you fight any strong guy with a wooden sword?
I could find the crappy mangapanda translations but in the actual translation(***********), Mihawk said that ANY sword can become yoto class with good armament haki. That includes wooden swords. CoA specialist Zephyr is the perfect opponent to test his CoA wooden swords.
The Rogue Samurai is Silver and old Zephyr is Gray but like with Issho, the rogue samurai used his DF power to catch Z off guard and cut off his arm and slaughtered his men. The rogue samurai left victorious.
After WBs death, the NW was in chaos. The Gorosei said that they should wait for the seas to stabilize a little and chose those who'll have the most influence to fill the 3 vacant shichibukai seats. They gave Buggy the offer shortly after the Marineford war. Law got the position by sending 1o0 pirate hearts to the WG. Who got the position because of their influence in the NW chaos? The Rogue Samurai. Remember how I said Miyamoto fought in wars that had nothing to with him just to test himself? The Rogue Samurai did the same thing and it caught the attention of the WG.
They remembered him as the pirate who cut off Z's arm and made him a Shichibukai. The fact that he a samurai from Wano made it all the better. Kaidou and the WG are doing business with each other and Kaidou wants Wano-Kuni. Wano is not allies with the WG so the Rogue Samurai's position as shichibukai will hopefully help Wano and the WG become allies and maybe recruit some samurais into the marines. If you are wondering why the rogue samurai will accept the position, remember like Miyamoto, he'll do ANYTHING to improve himself and get swords.
Of course, someone was pissed about the choice of the 7th Shichibukai
Issho always thought the shichibukai system was faulty but now he knew it had to be destroyed. The WG allowing monsters like the rogue samurai to "legally" continue his harassment on the innocent? Absurd. When Akainu started the Global Military Draft, Issho joined and accepted the position of Admiral to see a few things come into fruition. One of which is the abolishment of the shichibukai system at the Reverie. Fujitora is Black and the 7th Shichibukai is Silver so you are probabaly wondering why doesn't Fujitora just kill the guy? The same reason he's not doing anything against Doflamingo. He needs to get rid of the 7th Shichibukai "legally" or else chaotic cycles will repeat itself and the WG may recruit more people like the 7th.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lets get into the 7th Shichibukai's sword hunt and this is where things get really interesting.
In @Celestial D. Dragon 's theory on Tashigi and Kuina, he said Kuina was actually murdered and I came to the conclusion that the rogue samurai killed Kuina seeking the Wado Ichimonji. However, Koshiro kept him from getting the sword. Koshiro lied to Zoro because he didn't want Zoro's path to be consumed by revenge.
In @beck26 's theory on Tashigi and Kuina, he said their mother was killed and the Kuku Ichimonji ended up on Wano. Once again, I say the rogue samurai killed the mother and took the Kuku Ichimonji and added it to his collection. Tashigi was unable to see the assailant but knew it was a pirate. Tashigi got the goal to retrieve all the legendary swords from bad guys(a direct contrast to the 7th Shichibukai)
In Volume 16 SBS, Oda said that Kuina and Tashigi are named after flightless birds(Kuina=Rallidae, Tashigi=Snipe) and "just because a bird cannot fly doesn't mean it never will." The Rallidae and Snipe CAN fly but the Rallidae can only fly for a very short time and the Snipe's flight pattern is very sloppy and irregular.
Since talking about birds, this reminded me of Sasaki Kojiro's ultimate technique Swallow Cut(Tsubani Gaeshi). I believe Kuina and Tashigi's mother was named after the swallow. The technique "Swallow Cut" was a fast and elegant cutting technique and swallows are known for their excellent flight. Their elegance and precision was used to attracts mates. It makes sense how Tashigi and Kuina's styles are "fast and elegant." The mother's technique with the Kuku Ichimonji was elegant and precise and it attracted Koshiro and they had 2 children.
Tashigi is an immature bird. A Snipe(Tashigi) prefers wet marshes and hates dry and cold climates. Ironically, Tashigi's sword 'Shigure' means "Rain that signifies the coming of autumn and winter." It pretty signifies Tashigi's misfortune. In Alabasta( a desert kingdom), Tashigi's pride was shattered and she lost to Robin. In the winter half of PH, she was faced with the likes of Law, Vergo and Monet.
In Wano-kuni, Tashigi will fly. In Wano, her technique will become more precise and she will acquire her mother's Kuku Ichimonji. She will challenge the 7th Shichukai and of course will be defeated. However, like the meaning of her sword Shigure implies, her tears will call forth a cold -blooded demon.
And the name of that demon is Roronoa Zoro.
Sasaki Kojiro was known as the "Demon of the Western Providence." Well Zoro is the "Demon of the Eastern Providence." Like Miyamoto Musashi, Zoro wants to improve himself and is getting sword after sword. The truth of Kuina and the mother's death will come to light and Zoro will weigh his and Tashigi's anger and burden on his shoulders and there will be no mercy, as the path of an Asura is filled with wrath and carnage.
Zoro will be the one to defeat the 7th Shichibukai in Wano. The 7th uses wooden swords that are severly strengthened with his CoA and has a DF that cuts so Zoro will be at a disadvantage, but that's why Zoro's CoA is the best of the M3 and his specialty. Zoro will be Off White and the 7th shichibukai is Silver. Zoro will evolve during the fight and will become Silver as well. Zoro will beat the unbeatable.
Fujitora of course will be grateful but its a shame that he and Zoro are on opposing sides. Zoro has beat the unbeatable, but now he'll have to touch the untouchable. Both Fujitora and Zoro are tigers and only one shall be hunted.
The Unbeatable vs The Untouchable
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What do you think guys? Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro are most famous samurais in Japanese history. I will be SHOCKED if Oda doesn't reference them in an arc about samurais.

Fujitora's design, habits and personality is based off the blind samurai from the TV series Zatoichi and his sword is supposedly based off the Zatoichi's cane sword.
The style is that of a Tachi. Its the original sword of samurais in Feudal Japan and it involves attacking and defending at the same time using the handguard as a shield. With his superior hearing, sensing and concentration, the blind samurai was untouchable. However, Fujitora fights the same way but his sword seems a bit long. Pause.
The fighting style is based off the Taichi blade, but the sword length makes it a nodachi just like Sasaki Kojiro's "Drying Pole."
