I know this has been discussed and I know there's the panel of Fuji eating the noodles and calling down the meteor but after rewatching the roulette scene where Luffy and he meet I think I've come up with something.
I think Fujitora uses the sword to channel his power and when he doesn't use the sword, when he was eating noodles for example, the power was so strong it pulled down a meteor so he uses his sword to manage it's force. Why else in the roulette scene I mentioned would Fujitora touch all of Doffy's men with his sword before "sending them to hell"? Why did the application of gravity increase at the same rate as Fuji sheathing his sword?
I feel this makes the most sense to satisfy both scenarios. Thoughts, opinions?
