Thanks for doing this.
They are all pretty basic for sure.( Isshi Tōjin ) - Light String Formation
Pretty simple, you form a barrier, almost like another room, that prevents escape for anyone who is of equal or lower rank than you. Double use allows you to trap someone who is one rank higher. I don't see much practical use for this tbh.
( Fuuinjutsu: Kōmu Kekkaijutsu ) - Sealing Arts: Crimson Mist Barrier Jutsu
A technique that, similarly to other mist ninjutsu, forms a wide array of mist around the battlefield that clouds the vision of everyone inside. Also prevents noise from escaping. Something of an outdated technique for the purposes of scaling the range, but otherwise I like this technique. Has some practical use from a storytelling perspective, otherwise doesn't do much else.
(Kekkai: Tengai Hojin) - Barrier: Dome Method Formation
A barrier that moves with the user, acting as a means of sensory. Interesting as it acts as a motion detector so can be used in conjunction with other forms of sensory or more to assist someone in a pure taijutsu fight.
(Kekkai Houjin) - Barrier Method Battle Array
You set a trap beforehand that, when triggered, creates a large explosion with explosive tags? That's what I'm getting from this, not really seeing much potential for this in a fight given the nature that the trap must be created beforehand.
( Kekkai Kireme no Jutsu ) - Barrier Shatter Technique
Seems very similar to Genjutsu kai, but for barriers instead of illusions. You insert your chakra into the barrier and it shatters, very simply. Scales based on what type of biography you have and what you can do with it.
No questions so far.
Not sure what you mean by your last question but this should be clear: " This prevents the target from moving, molding chakra or even being summoned."(Fusen no Kekkai) Tag Barrier
Throws a tag that deploys a sphere-like barrier, defending you from an oncoming attack. Simple, effective, probably has a use case for specific abilities for containing an explosion around someone to inflict self-damage. I could see myself using this scarcely.
(Mugen Hōyō) - Infinate Embrace
This is definitely one of the more useful fuinjutsus we have access to. When you slam your hands on the ground, you erect a barrier that encases your target in a cube, draining their chakra and adding it to your own pool. It prevents the target from molding higher levels of chakra and can be broken by either attacking the barrier or the user directly. Handy, but I also know there's a stronger version of this technique too that gets a lot of use in fights.
(Fuuinjutsu: Kami Komyunikēshon) Sealing Arts: Scroll Communication technique
Creates two scrolls to be shared between two people, allowing for remote communication amongst long distances. Can have a unique lock so that only the recipients know how to read messages between each other. Handy for the ninja world, thats for sure, not so much for fighting. There's no set range on the technique so I'm going to assume its universal in its application.
( Fūin Fuda ) – Sealing Tag
A tag that seals anything it lands on. I guess that's it? It takes a bit of time for it to come into effect so it can be easily countered, but otherwise just prevents movement and molding chakra. Ideally its used for summons and edo tensei, but otherwise I don't really see much use for this personally.
Only question is would the tag, if applied to a summon, only restrain or actively reverse summon the animal back to where they came from? Otherwise all good here.
I've never been a known reader, so that clears that up xD
( Chakra Haisui Fūin no Jutsu ) – Chakra Suppression Seal Technique
Useful on maybe 3 people in our roleplay, can suppress a jinchuriki who is undergoing the incomplete transformation, that person then becomes fatigued. Not really much use outside very specific scenarios, and I'm sure those people won't let you do this.
( Han'you Fūin ) - Generic Sealing Technique
The most generic use of fuinjutsu we have, will let you store items in a scroll or something. Can be anything so long as it doesn't personally belong to someone, custom weapons, living or sentient beings etc. Could potentially be used defensively against some ninjutsu. Nice technique, very simple so I like it.
( Fūin Wana Bakuhatsu ) – Sealing Trap Explosion
Put a seal down somewhere, triggers an explosion when an enemy is close to it. Basically a proximity mine that reacts to chakra, a nice set-it-and-forget-it kind of fuinjutsu.
No questions about these ones.
( Shikoku Mujin ) - Four Black Fog Battle Formation
A good jutsu for transportation I guess, I mean thats how it was used in the series at the very least. Put someone or something in a container, place five separate seals on the container, then you channel your chakra into a technique that will lock the target inside. Supposedly this prevents all outside forces from affecting the target too (but that might be a manga only thing). Lasts a single turn if it works. Not much practical use in the heat of battle.
( Ho/Mizu/Kaze/Tsuchi/Rai Houin ) - Fire/Water/Wind/Earth/Lightning Sealing Method
Write the name of an element on a scroll, make four hand seals, which seals that element inside. It's a pretty handy technique defensively, if you have pre-planned scrolls you have a means of fighting back against something defensively. I'm going to assume this is something you could have pre-planned on your biography, but I could be wrong there. Still, it's a useful technique if you have nothing else to use.
( Fūinjutsu: Manji Katame ) - Sealing Technique: Octopus Hold
Not relevant to me, but I digress xD
Killer B spits out ink clones that will strike the enemy, these clones then restrain the targets using some sort of octopus hold or suplex position? I guess, then covers their body in ink. Takes a little moment of time for the seal to take place so you have time to escape. Seems simple enough.
No further questions.

(Tajū Mugen Hōyō ) - Multiple Infinite Embraces
Definitely the fuinjutsu I've seen used the most in fights over the years, just because of the description it seems very strong and highly beneficial to the user. Admittedly, seeing this over the years I've never had a clue as to how to work around it.
Similar to its weaker variation, you perform your hand seals and slam your hands on the ground, which erects a larger barrier around the target. In doing so, this drains the target of their chakra, adding it to the user's own pool, while simultaneously pushing the target into the ground, similar to heightened gravity and prevents movement. While this is happening, the target cannot use techniques above a certain threshold of chakra, and can only be broken by using a technique of A-rank or higher.
While it is a strong technique, it does have downsides, the biggest one I'm assuming is that the technique must be maintained with the hands on the ground in order to fuel this technique. This renders the user of the technique immobile, making them an easy target for another jutsu. Any sort of attack that is weak enough to be used while caught, but also attacking the target should be enough to break their concentration or stance and prematurely end the jutsu.
How does this technique work with chakra fortification? Specifically, would having fuin fortify mean you can prevent more chakra being molded in the barrier? And would that also mean that other techniques with fortify can break it with B-rank techniques? I know it says A-Rank but with a specialty element I wanted to make sure I understand completely.![]()
Scales with damage, seems pretty simple enough. You are right, contact with the ground needs to be maintained to maintain the technique.
Chakra fort would only be an issue if you were in chakra vs chakra clashes or trying to absorb/seal the barrier. Even with 10 extra chakra, it can still be broken by A ranks. It needs A rank damage to break it, 60 damage. So if you had a C rank with 30 damage boosted to 60, it could break the barrier. Personally something like world shaking would break the caster's focus and free you tbh.
Does this make sense?
Alrighty, up next:Scales with damage, seems pretty simple enough.
No further questions.
Logically you are right. BUT, the jutsu says any techniques. With words as written, it still effects those fields. Also, crossing your swords is rule of cool or something... I dunno...( Fuuinjutsu: Kurohigi: Kurogane ) - Iron Sand Sealing Arts: Black Art: Black Iron
Shinki technique, idk if I need to elaborate on this one. It's a combination jutsu of the guy where he combines the physical restriction of his iron sand technique with his puppet that applies a seal to further restrict movement by applying a sealing technique, and finally buring them in a casket made of iron sand. It's fun I guess, but I don't use these techniques.
( Hijutsu: Fūinjutsu Kai ) – Secret Technique: Sealing Release
A technique that allows for the user to dispel a fuinjutsu that is happening with a single handseal. Pretty handy if you ask me. It doesn't seem to need much of anything aside from a hand seal, or physical contact if the seal is on a person. Depending on your affinity with fuinjutsu, the user can seal higher grade techniques, with standard users up to B-rank, Uzumaki clan members up to A-rank, and advanced specialists up to S-rank.
( Fūinjutsu: Seikatsu Kekkai ) – Sealing Technique: Living Barrier
By crossing your swords (I don't know why this motion is necessary to be honest), the user creates a seal which expands up to short-range of them. This seals away half of someone's current chakra which restricts them to only use up to A-rank techniques. It's a limiter as I'm not sure if you need to sustain the crossed swords to maintain the barrier, but I don't see much use out of this technique.
I feel like I know the answer to this but will ask anyway, am I correct in thinking this won't stop non-chakra techniques (Taijutsu, Atavistic Flames etc.)?
