Seeing as you have been on this site for over a decade, and this is your first time learning it, to the best of your ability please describe Fuinjutsu, and what it can do.
So Fuinjutsu is a field of Ninjutsu built up the use of "magical formula" to a variety of effects, usually the storing of one object inside another. This does include Summonings, technically, but generally regarded as its own field. Barriers generally fall into Fuinjutsu too, but I'll be honest that I'm not sure why other than "the series says so".

So to clarify, Summoning isn't related to Fuinjutsu. They share visual similarities, where something instantly appears where there wasn't anything along with a cloud of smoke, but that's where the similarities end. Summoning Ninjutsu is an advanced form of Ninjutsu, and more specifically Space-Time Ninjutsu, but we're not here for Summoning. We're here to learn about seals.

Every seal is made up of at least two - three of these six main components. They are as follows:

From physical objects and things like tools all the way to other Jutsu, all the way up to more metaphysical concepts, such as Chakra, one's own memories, psyche, and that infinite technicolor rainbow in-between, these are what's known as the "Target" of the Sealing technique. Examples of this would range from Tenten's scrolls which contain tools, to Kabuto sealing cadavers within his own scrolls, to Kushina and Minato sealing imprints of themselves within Naruto, which would be released upon the Nine Tail's seal becoming undone, willingly or not. All of these things are the "target", something that is intended to be sealed away.

The next component would be the "Binding" of a sealing technique, which is essentially the script which envelops the Target, and seals it. From the gif shown in the Fuinjutsu Ability Rule thread, it shows an Uzumaki Elder weaving seals, before placing their hand on the ground as the sealing script travels to his Target, which I assume is some form of animal. This would then be sealed within the next part of a Sealing technique.

Regardless of what's sealed, it must be contained within some form of medium. In the case of Ninja Tools, other Jutsu, etc, you would typically use a scroll, and for more advanced concepts, they can be more unique mediums, such as yourself via Body Seals (Which are gatekept behind Advanced Fuinjutsu). Danzo's seal he used at the end of his fight with Sasuke is an example of this, as had the seal placed onto his body, and it activated in the moments leading up to his death, with the seal activating at that point, and not only pulling himself, but also everything within the vicinity into a singularity-like pull, crushing everything, such as his body, to prevent people using it to learn the secrets of his and Orochimaru's experiments. This would be the "Medium" or "Vessel" of a Sealing technique.

Then there are two potentially optional parts of a Sealing Technique, the "Trigger" and the "Key". In regards to a trigger, the only one that comes to mind is the one that the rules mention; Danzo's Juuinjutsu, which is applied to members of Root, and activate upon them speaking of him in almost any manner, to prevent information about him from being leaked. They are essentially conditions which can trigger the effects of something that is sealed within a medium/ script. Danzo's seal would be an audible trigger, but I have to assume others exist, such as timed triggers, hand-seal-based triggers, etc. The key is, essentially, the same thing, but in reverse, undoing the seal, and bringing forth what has been sealed when performed. This can be the same as a trigger, with seals, audible commands, etc.

And lastly we have Chakra, which personally I think it's not relevant to mention. Sealing Techniques are an advanced form of Ninjutsu, so to me it's only natural they would utilize and consume Chakra to perform, maintain and release. I guess the reason why this is mentioned is to point out that a Jinchuriki's Chakra is used to maintain their Tailed Beast's respective seal, not the sealer, but I can't see why that would otherwise be relevant to Sealing techniques. Just strikes me as common sense.

Finally, I'm aware that Barriers are, for some inexplicable reason considered Sealing Techniques, but this is where my brain does not compute, and just gives up, as they aren't sealing anything. Only example I know creates a barely translucent field around the user in a certain radius, and notifies them of anything entering it's area of effect. I can only assume that they were bundled in with Fuinjutsu as there is some minor overlap between the two, but it's minimal.

That is a more in depth of the inner workings of Fuinjutsu. If we have no questions, we can progress to the next step. The list.

So many of the lower ranked Fuinjutsu techniques share many similarities, but with subtle differences through each. I'm going to take you through them less in order, and more by grouping those similarly structured techniques. So these upcoming techniques, in some way, create a script or barrier or area that contains some sealing based property. If that's a vague and redundant description, imagine how Barrier Battle Method Array and Sealing Trap explosion explosion feel about virtually being the exact same techniques. Anyway, disregard the old, now obsolete Ranks, and give a brief explanation of each technique. Ask any questions you may have as well, and anything you feel is relevant to note about any of them.

( Isshi Tōjin ) - Light String Formation
Type: Supplementary

Description: This barrier is designed to prevent anyone from leaving its confines. Once within a certain range of the person, the user erects the barrier underfoot rendering anyone within the seals, incapable of escaping. Should the user use on someone of a higher rank than him, than the effects will be null. However, should 2 or more barriers are combined, then the effects will be increased one rank ( Kages would effect Sages now, for example ).

( Fuuinjutsu: Kōmu Kekkaijutsu ) - Sealing Arts: Crimson Mist Barrier Jutsu
Type: Supplementary

Range: Short - Long

Description: By summoning a thick wall of mist, the user can impair sight for all within it. It also masks any sound from being heard outside of the mist. The effectiveness of this technique varies between users as it depends on the user's skill. Starting at Chunnin rank, this lasts for 1 turn and can be extended 1 turn per rank increase up to Kage rank (6 turns). Chunnin and Special Jounin can use this up to Short range, Jounin and S-class Ninja can use this up to Mid range and Sannin and up can extend this to long range.

(Kekkai: Tengai Hojin) - Barrier: Dome Method Formation

Description: The user slams his hands on the ground and generates a special barrier that surrounds the target forming a "cuboid" construct of pink chakra which begins draining the chakra of the target caught inside. This technique can be used in conjunction with shadow rope technique or other restrictive techniques to further hinder the target. Once caught inside it, the target cannot mold chakra above S-rank and the barrier itself can only be broken by B-Rank techniques or by attacking the user of the technique.

( Fūin Wana Bakuhatsu ) – Sealing Trap Explosion

No questions about these. They're pretty straight forward - if a bit dated, referencing many ranks that outright don't exist anymore. And you know. "Type: Attack" and "Rank: B-Rank".

Light String Formation: Hey, really cool that an "ultimate" move for Dokkodo that's S rank and requires you to have the Mode as your mode to even use....is a C rank Fuinjutsu. Pretty straightforward and despite its weird interactions the premise is useful for Shinobi who do stuff in CQC to bar an opponent from retreating.

Crimson Mist Barrier: Pretty standard stuff in the RP nowadays. A chakra-laiden mist to block chakra sensing, though it can apparently stop sound from traveling too. I'm actually surprised that this one isn't used. Even with today's meta, its a pretty cheap (C-rank) way to *force* someone to spend a jutsu to keep their sensing abilities up.

Dome Method Formation: Clap your hands once for radar.

Barrier Method Battle Array: Ah, yes. The "high-rank" of...B. Very flavorful and such, but "trap" type techniques like this one are *very* hard to use in the RP. That said, like in DND, this *could* potentially have use in the NW around a base camp or other location one could spend time fortifying.

Infinite Embrace: Now I'm pretty sure there's a nastier version of this one out there that causes problems. Honestly the premise of the technique itself is solid. Its a mid-range area that prevents the opponent from using Forbidden rank techniques, saps chakra from them per turn, *and* restores chakra to you per turn. I dare say if you tried to submit a custom with that many effects you'd be told to come back when you were sober. The ease of destroying it kind of stunts its usefulness, though.

Yeah, a lot of these techniques are hardly used any more and could maybe use a face lift.

Anyway, next up we have the more traditional "sealing" techniques. Whether sealing a tangible target inside a medium or vessel, or having the script placed directly onto the target to seal away their Chakra or some other intangible target, these techniques are all more closely tied with the fundamental idea of sealing something, as opposed to creating zones or traps that either explode, or contain a target without sealing them away. Same as last time.

(Fusen no Kekkai) Tag Barrier
Type: Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: B-rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20

Description: The user will take a tag marked with the kanjis 障害 (Shōgai) and either place it on a weapon (like wrapped around a kunai's handle) or on a surface (like the ground). Upon doing so, a defensive spherical barrier is erected around the tag as a seal. The barrier can be used to defend against up to B-Rank ninjutsu but also be used to contain an enemy inside if feasible.

(Fuuinjutsu: Kami Komyunikēshon) Sealing Arts: Scroll Communication technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B-Rank

Description:
The user will create 2 or more scrolls with an embedded sealing formula that connects them all together. As such, anything written in one scroll will appear written in all the connected scrolls. A very useful communication technique, it can connect scrolls regardless of the distance between them. To activate the scroll, the user needs to perform a key of hand seals that will be unique for each creation and only known to those the user wishes, preventing the use of the scrolls by those the user doesn't allow.

( Fūin Fuda ) – Sealing Tag

Chakra cost: 20

Description: A basic sealing technique where the user places one or more tags either directly on a target or on a technique which is restraining it. As its placed, a sealing formula spreads around the technique or the target, sealing it. This technique has been seen used with Sand ninjutsu, Earth, Water, Wood, Cloth Ninjutsu, etc but basically any technique in which you can apply the tags can be used. In the case of expert ninjas, the tags might even be incorporated into the restraining technique, with no need to actually manually place the tag or tags. Additionally, less experienced ninjas can find that throwing one or more kunais with the sealing tags attached at the technique which will trigger the same effect when the kunais stick on the technique. This prevents the target from moving, molding chakra or even being summoned.
Note: The seal takes a while to form, so most opponents can either counter the restraining technique (thus preventing the sealing formula of taking effect) or rip off the tags from themselves negating its effects entirely. If the target, however, fails to counter the restraining technique or is counter to it fails or if he doesn't remove the tags in his next move, then the seal will fully be placed and the target unable to release himself.
Note: This technique is specially designed to be used on summons and Edo Tensei Summons but will work on any opponent except Jinchurikiis.

( Chakra Haisui Fūin no Jutsu ) – Chakra Suppression Seal Technique

Description: The user places this seal on the forehead of a Jinchuuriki influenced by the powers of a Bijuu, to forcibly cause the Bijuu's powers to recede. The Jinchuuriki becomes exhausted after this happens.
Note: This can only restrict Jinchuuriki in their Incomplete form, not when they completely transform into the Bijuu.

( Han'you Fūin ) - Generic Sealing Technique

Type: Supplementary , Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique is a standard ninja skill which allows a ninja to summon an assortment of items or weapons that have been stored using Fūinjutsu,typically they are stored within scrolls. When needed, the owner will activate the seals releasing their item or weapon of choice. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons. The items themselves are unaffected by time. This Technique allows the user to seal any weapons they wish being their own or opponents.
Note: Cannot seal opponent's custom weapons, or the special weapons of a particular character ( example: Samehada or Kubikiribocho ).
Note: Can only seal corpses, and not injured people regardless of the extent of their injury.

( Ho/Mizu/Kaze/Tsuchi/Rai Houin ) - Fire/Water/Wind/Earth/Lightning Sealing Method

Description: The user takes out a scroll, and writes the name of the element they wish to seal in it. They then make four handseals, and a vapour comes out of the scroll, envelops the technique they wish to seal and seals it back into the scroll.
Note: This technique can only seal one technique up to S-rank per usage
Note: This technique may be used only thrice.

(Kuchiyose: Raikō Kenka) - Summoning: Lightning Blade Creation

Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A (-5 per tool/weapon)
Damage points: N/A
Description: This is a special "ninja tool summon" that allows the user to seal basic ninja tools, like shurikens, kunais, swords, etc into sealing marks placed on their clothes or their body. The ninja tools can be summoned in an instant just by touching the sealing "marks". The greatest advantage of this technique is that the time between taking out a ninja tool, taking the right stance and actually throwing it is greatly reduced and one can unleash a barrage of weapons with great speed in a small time window. Also when a weapon such as a Fūma Shuriken is summoned, the time needed to throw it can be further shortened by having prepared the weapon in fully extended form beforehand. Sasuke even shown that you can have the weapons connected to wires and linked to their sealing marks and used the technique in sealing marks he placed in his wrist bracers.
Note: Can summon up to 30 basic tools per sealing mark and can have up to 2 sealing marks.

When needed, the owner will activate the seals releasing their item or weapon of choice. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons. The items themselves are unaffected by time. This Technique allows the user to seal any weapons they wish being their own or opponents.
Note: Cannot seal opponent's custom weapons, or the special weapons of a particular character ( example: Samehada or Kubikiribocho ).
Note: Can only seal corpses, and not injured people regardless of the extent of their injury.

( Ho/Mizu/Kaze/Tsuchi/Rai Houin ) - Fire/Water/Wind/Earth/Lightning Sealing Method

(Kuchiyose: Raikō Kenka) - Summoning: Lightning Blade Creation

Description: This is a special "ninja tool summon" that allows the user to seal basic ninja tools, like shurikens, kunais, swords, etc into sealing marks placed on their clothes or their body. The ninja tools can be summoned in an instant just by touching the sealing "marks". The greatest advantage of this technique is that the time between taking out a ninja tool, taking the right stance and actually throwing it is greatly reduced and one can unleash a barrage of weapons with great speed in a small time window. Also when a weapon such as a Fūma Shuriken is summoned, the time needed to throw it can be further shortened by having prepared the weapon in fully extended form beforehand. Sasuke even shown that you can have the weapons connected to wires and linked to their sealing marks and used the technique in sealing marks he placed in his wrist bracers.
Note: Can summon up to 30 basic tools per sealing mark and can have up to 2 sealing marks.
Tag Barrier: This is honestly pretty straightforward, but useful in that regard. Quick to use for a defensive technique, and if there are stronger versions, I would say those are pretty handy.

Scroll Communication Technique: I recognize this one! Very handy in the NW for communicating over vast distances (especially with a party who can't use Fuinjutsu on their own).

Sealing Tag: Pretty straightforward and probably difficult to get off on an actively resisting target. As mentioned in the technique, this is probably what was used to seal away defeated Edo Tensei during the war arc.

Chakra Suppression Seal Technique: *Incredibly* niche, but could be very powerful against a Bijuu. That said, "becomes exahusted" doesn't really confer any mechanical benefit in the RP.

Generic Sealing Technique: Oh boy! [Fuinjutsu]! Good ol' bag of holding, but not much use in the midst of battle.

Fire/Water/Wind/Earth/Lightning Sealing Method: Were it not for the four handseal and the whole "take out a scroll, write down the element, THEN perform the handseals" aspect of it this would be a *very* solid technique. You could probably do somethings to make it better, but otherwise I see this being too unwieldy to actually be useful.

Summoning: Lightning Blade Creation: Summoning techniques aren't Fuinjutsu, huh? O_- Otherwise its just a handy inventory expansion technique.

The user will create a tag with the 許可 (Kyoka) Kanji and place it on the ground, doing the confrontation hand seal afterwards to activate it. After the barrier is erected, the user, if inside it, will be able to detect any enemy inside it, even if he hiding his presence. After that, anyone who enters or leaves the barrier is instantly detected as well as anything that moves inside it. Techniques that mask the users presence are ineffective at avoiding detection as the barrier focuses on movement and displacement of matter, not solely on chakra detection. The barrier can also be moved according to the requirements of the user by moving the tag.
Note: Can only be used twice.

(Tajū Mugen Hōyō ) - Multiple Infinite Embraces

Description: This technique is a stronger version of Infinite Embraces and is used basically in the same manner. The user will do the Tiger → Dog → Horse → Dragon → Boar hand seals and slam his hands on the ground, creating a bigger barrier than the original technique but similar in its essence which drains the target's chakra but also pushes down on them making it much harder to break free. The massive pressure the technique puts on the target prevents the target from moving unless it has some sort of enhanced strength ability, making it very difficult to break free from it. Unable to move, the targets are also unable to mold chakra above A-Rank while having his chakra drained. The barrier can only be broken by A-Rank techniques or above or by attacking the user.

( Shishienjin ) - Four Violet Flames Battle Encampment

Description: This technique requires four people or clones to use. The people must be standing forming a square, they will then make the snake handseal and clasp their hands. A barrier forms around them on all sides, stopping anyone from outside from coming into the square. If they touch the walls, they will be burnt by violet flames. The casters can add a secondary barrier outside to prevent them from being attacked by enemies on the outside of the square; although by doing so, they are unable to attack as well. Each barrier can sustain any A-Rank technique.
Note: Requires 4 ninjas or 4 clones to use.

( Fuuinjutsu: Bunshin Torappu ) - Sealing Arts: Clone Trap

Barrier Shatter Technique : Yeah, this is very niche. Good at what it does, just...niche. Though interestingly it doesn't offer an out to Forbidden rank ones.

Boundary Barrier Technique: A detection based barrier. Again, more useful in something like the NW rather than battle. Could have potentially been useful against the Hayabusa.

Multiple Infinite Embraces: Ah, the big boy. This one seems like...a lot. Only 5 handseals, -100 from the enemy a turn, +100 to you a turn, a suppression unless you have a taijutsu boost(?), and you can't cast anything above A rank while effected. This is as strong as it seems, right?

Secret Technique: Sealing Release: Another kinda niche one, being a sealing release, but it could be situationally useful.

Four Violet Flames Battle Encampment: The execution of this alone makes it too unwieldy to really use, especially since it really can't do much, only stopping A ranks.

Sealing Arts: Clone Trap: This one actually seems *remarkably* good (especially as a CQC user), as its essentially a substitution jutsu that restrains also, and requires no Hand Seals.

Yeah, MIE is as powerful as you think it is. With one boost to it's Chakra/ sealing capacity or it's overall effectiveness it can become a scary thing to face. If you haven't invested in techniques that physically empower you without much or any Chakra, it might be hard breaking out of it. Atavistic Flame is an example of an avenue that can physically empower you while sidestepping the Chakra sealing entirely, but Taijutsu and general body augments will also work. You just need them to be A-Rank in strength to cancel out the seal, unless boosted, but those cases are and should be few and far between.

Moving on, these three are the last of the A-Ranks, and all act as seals upon the opponent's Chakra, or their body specifically when applied.

( Fūinjutsu: Seikatsu Kekkai ) – Sealing Technique: Living Barrier

Note: If applied by a medical ninja with sealing mastery, the effect will last until released.

A powerful barrier formation noted to only be usable by those of Kage Level, whereby four shinobi, standing in a square formation, erect a large barrier that is red in colour. It was stated to be several times stronger than the Four Violet Flames Formation, and is highly malleable. When assaulted by a Tailed Beast Ball from the Ten-Tails, the barrier simply distorted its shape, forcing the brunt of the attack upwards while it was left completely intact. Its users can create openings within the barrier to allow passage. The barrier is apparently very chakra-taxing since at least two of its users are limited in the usage of other techniques, such as clone techniques, while maintaining the barrier at the same time. Despite this, the users can still perform techniques and hand seals while sustaining the barrier. The barrier itself is strong enough to resist any S-Rank technique known and, despite being opened on top, is very high and hard to escape from. Alternatively, high ranked ninjas can use this technique by using clones. In this case, only Sage rank ninjas have the necessary chakra reserves to produce the technique.
Note: Can only be used by either 4 Kage ranked Ninjas or, if the user is Sage rank, through the usage of clones.

If the enemy manages to escape the seal, he will recover use of his chakra.

Sealing Technique: Living Barrier : This looks like it has the potential to be good, but falls flat in a few places. Short range is an obvious drawback, but could be useful if somehow employed during CQC. But then its only 50% of their current Chakra which doesn't really hit people very hard unless they're already *EXTREMELY* low on chakra, and even then it only lasts for two turns or until they break short range. The limiting them to A-rank is probably the best part of that.

Contract Seal: A rather difficult to execute summoning dismisal. In virtually any other case its probably easier to just defeat the summon itself. I will say this has a potential use case in that it targets *any* summon, and not just an animal. So it could be useful if someone has prolonged constructs they summon, or something like the Gedo statue.

Muscle Restriction Seal: This one seems really bad, considering Nagashi exists. This requires physical contact to place the tag on them, only limits them from using A+ rank Tai, and then can be undone by removing the talisman. Not every enticing. Also the slow has no magnitude.

Four Red Yang Formation: This is pretty insane, requiring FOUR different RPers to use if you're not a Sage, escpecially since Kage rank isn't a thing anymore. Its also incredibly limiting while being sustained, though I suppose being able to block "any" S-rank jutsu could potentially be useful.

Sealing Arts: Chakra Draining Seal: This is...okay? It saps chakra from the opponent, basically prevents the usage of jutsu, and is quick to cast. But it doesn't have a way to keep an enemy contained within its confines.

Reverse Four Symbols Sealing Technique: Dazno's technique, only activated on death as a final attack against the opponent. Not much to say here.

For Contract Seal it's weird, because Minato's canon usage of the technique didn't involve stealing blood. He just touched Obito, and his "contract" with the Nine Tails where he was controlling it via the Sharingan was interrupted via a script spreading over his body. This version is inferior, because not only are you required to get a hold of the opponent's blood, at which point you might as well have killed them, but you also then need to have that blood make contact with the target. It's way more convoluted, and not really worth the hassle, like you say. But because the canon use was shown working on a Tailed Beast, which isn't a Summoning Animal, it can be intuited that any Summoned entity will be a potential target.

Moving on, these are the last canon Fuinjutsu techniques that aren't either tied to a special bio, or require additional training, such as with Medical Ninjutsu, or are Forbidden Rank and thus require Advanced Fuinjutsu. This is the home stretch.

Note: This jutsu can only be used twice in battle.

( Genjutsu Fūin ) - Illusion Skill Seal

Description: A special fuuinjutsu utilizing the illusion mark. When placed upon an opponent it fully incapacitates their ability to utilize any sort of genjutsu for four turns.

( Fūinjutsu: Sanhō Fūin ) - Sealing Technique: Three Directions Seal

Description: The user, and two shadow clones that must have already been created, array themselves into a triangle formation around the opponent. They then create a pyramidal barrier around them, trapping the opponent within. The barrier then explodes, sending the opponent high into the sky, badly injured.
Note: Can also be used by three clones.

Yeah, I can definitely see that. It kinda falls into that same issue that "on hit" effects have in the roleplay in that 99% of the time, if you're good enough to proc it, you could have killed your enemy anyway.

Chakra Confusion Seal: I can't honestly see a use for this. It increases the cost of each jutsu on the opponent by +20 assuming you can physically slap a tag on them. I'm assuming it doesn't, but one could argue this increases the effective strength of an opponent's technique by +10 chakra as per the rules?

Illusion Skill Seal: Okay this one actually has a really neat effect, being a complete and total block to the field of Genjutsu. Is this a physical talisman like the others, or a "formula seal" kinda like what Naruto has to contain the 9T? If the latter, while a bit difficult to apply (and again, if you land this you probably could have defeated your opponent), this could really cripple a lot of people.

Sealing Technique: Three Directions Seal: First minus for this is that it requires two clones out, which is already a problem. Outside of that its....just a mid-range explosive technique? I doubt this is an actually useful technique.
