dont get it twisted it wasnt easy for itachi to kill thee entire uchiha clan alone that is why tobi/madara helped him do so. also we have never seen itachis father fight anyone. we seen his sharingan once. and he also knew about the secrets about the uchiha. and was the man behind the rebellion. there is a reason itachi was pit against them cuz you need a sharingan to fight a sharingan an eye for an eye. Fugaku wins this for that fact that he had the sharingan and can read movements taijutsu genjutsu ninjutsu

Nah it was more like Itachi knew all the secrets of the Uchiha, had surpassed them all and was a good scapegoat, this way it could be seen as mindless violence instead one clan attacking another, also there is the sasuke factor, Itachi would protect sasuke no matter what, and if sasuke knew of the other clan attacking uchiha he would set out to kill them, Itachi being the killer was the best possible outcome, it was a near perfect plan.

we dont know anything about that fight we just know itachi and tobi/madara killed the uchiha clan. its like that time when kisame beat the 4tails but we didnt see it but kisame was carry him with samehada. or when hidan and kakuzu beat the 2 tails without any explanation she was in bijuu form that next time we see her she is half dead with hidan and kakuzu barely hurt. these are just loops or plot holes in the story. all u could possibly do is assume. and someone like itachi who knew his clan and that clan trusted him to an extent. it could have caught him off guard. like just imagine your own son trying to kill u for no reason.

We havent really seen either in action. Going by hype id say fugaku not only was he the leader of the police force, he is also the leader of the uchiha and the uchiha were the srongest clan in konoha until the massacre

fugaku read the tablet aswell and told sasuke about the mangekyou too. when sasuke was around the table eating dinner. he knew the ways of getting it but he didnt believe in killing his own kin for it. thats why he told sasuke do not follow your brother footsteps be ur own ninja. but yes itachi was the scapegoat and was the second most talented in the clan at the time so he would be the proper choice.

I know enough to know that it's too hard to tell, we know hiashi is great at taijutsu, but from what had been shown of the sharingan, that alone won't defeat fugaku, they really haven't shown anything that would suggest one could beat the other

also, we all know what itachi did to oro twice! also kakashi and deidara, all itachi's fights have ended rather easily, so that really ins't enough to judge fugaku's ability

also, so many factors come into place in fugaku's death, it was night, and itachi was once an anbu leader, also he was their son, they still wasn't expecting him to kill them.

fugaku would win because its safe to assume he has mo fire jutsu up his sleeve and is very skilled with his sharingan its look at his sons and nef shisui its only logical that he was indeed a strong shinobi.

but sadly we haven't and may not see much about him
