Now we all saw tobirama & minato using S/T technique to teleport to the respective mountain faces.....I believe they both used same technique this time(minato didnt use FTG, but the normal s/t tech of tobirama)...this technique was developed by tobirama, & here, chakra is required, which is why, it cant be done on a regular basis, ie cannot spam it.......
however, minato, knowing sealing techniques & all that, he developed a marking/seal which will enable teleportation without chakra usage: FTG
So in short, tobirama developed the technique, but it required chakra to do it...
whereas, minato created the FTG which is a different version of tobirama's s/t tech,ie requires seals, but no chakra...
Sounds agreeable ?

note: I've used FTG name for minato's tech, & no name for tobirama's tech....

that is what I think too, Minatos require seal but uses little chakra while Tobirama needs no seals but uses lots of chakra so he doesn't spam it. It's the most logical answer.

Well what we know is that Tobirama did Hirashin without an seals, while Minato did Hirashin using his specially made Kunai.
