Yo, this is real. Good Plan actually.
But you gotta make sure that box is
1. Not crush able (so the pressure wont destroy it, ie make it useless)
2. Will actually sink (air inside is not enough to keep it afloat in mid depths)

You could also be kaguya and just snatch the person in your dimension.
