For the past several weeks villages in the north were being wiped out without a trace. The likes of this genocide were incomparable. Even Itachi's overnight holocaust on the Uchiha Clan paled in comparison to the systematic elimination of these villages. It made sense, then, that the ninja world would eventually be forced to investigate the atrocity. And it was only natural that they sent their very best.

strode to the center of town, dressed in clothes that certainly didn't scream shinobi. Wearing black dress pants, black dress shoes and a white button down shirt with rolled up sleeves, he looked more a citizen than a shinobi. But of course, that fit his purpose. Guards had been posted at the village's entrances, and ninja attire certainly would have attracted unwanted attention. This was the last village that needed to be eliminated before the northmen could continue moving south, and Inchato needed everything to go perfectly one more time.

But even the best-laid schemes of mice and men often go awry. The schemes of Inchato Yuki were no exception.

He had made it to the center of the village without incident. He cast his gaze around, and a familiar regret lanced through his mind. He didn't want to do this. The atrocity he was about to commit was collateral damage. As he cast his gaze around, lamenting about what he was going to do in a few moments, regret changed to panic. He had spotted a shinobi.

Long yellow spikey hair, blue eyes and a fair face. There was no mistaking him. Minato. A childhood friend and rival of Inchato's, he could not have picked a worse shinobi to show up here than him. But it made no difference. The brunt of the northmen would be coming down in a day's time. This village and everyone in it needed to be dead by then, and if Minato stayed, he would be no exception. Steeling himself, Inchato walked forward, approaching his old friend with a warm smile on his face.

"Hey, Minato!"

The disappearance of entire population of civilians in the the north villages did not past over the mind of the hokage. It was strange, there wasn't any clear indicative of the reason behind it, nor the method used. He felt as though this was the mark of something much more important, and darker. The hokage could not let this past by, and due the level of security in the vilage, he had to go there himself.

Upon arriving, Minato sent his men to survey the area from afar, to survey in case anything suspicious where to happen while he checks the situation within the village. Everything seemed peaceful and quiet, that was a good sign, or at least that is what Minato hoped for. As he wore his hokage outfit, people around him felt unsafe, though there wasn't much he could do about it. Through his research though, a familiar face appeared, and heard his name. "Hey, Minato!"

"Inchato? What are you doing here? You nee to leave from here ASAP, I'll explain later."

Inchato narrowed his eyes, a knowing look on his face as he stepped into a close distance of Minato. He leaned in slightly, and spoke in a hushed tone. No one around them could hear. "Minato.. I know it's been a while, but I need you to trust me." His piercing blue gaze swept around the town square they were standing in as he spoke. "I've been keeping track of what's been happening in the north.. And I believe I know what's going on." With these words, Inchato closed his eyes for the briefest of moments, as if contemplating how much he could tell Minato.

Opening his eyes and turning them back onto Minato, he continued. "Look, I don't have time to explain. Something bad's about to happen here. All we can hope to do is minimize the damage... And your presence here is going to make things so much worse for these people." At this point, Inchato's body had tensed up, and he seemed uncharacteristically unnerved. "I can explain everything to you tomorrow, back in Konoha.. But for now, I need you to leave from the south gate. That's very important." As Inchato spoke, he raised his arm and pointed in the direction in a somewhat urgent manner, further drawing attention to his urgent manner.

"I cannot do that, I have duties to uphold." Minato crossed his arms in front of his chest, putting a serious expression on his face. He knew Inchato for a long time now, and even though he would listen to his suggestions without question, this one was an exception. It felt awfully familiar, everything that came to mind was Kushina's anecdote of the Uzumaki's extermination. He didn't want to witness the extermination of a race.... the Uzumaki, the Uchiha, the Kaguya, the Yuki, no more extermination. The towns of the North were no exception, and regardless of the reason, he put to an end whatever scheme the one's who have put this in motion are.

But there was something.... rather strange. Something didn't add up. "Inchato.... how did you knew about this? This was only discharged to the respective Kages and leaders. Last time I heard of you, you ended your affiliation to any village, you shouldn't have access to this information."

Inchato's gaze fell to the ground and he shook his head at Minato's refusal. There was no way around it, then. His eyes flicked back toward Minato and he answered, still speaking in a hushed tone. "Regardless of whether or not I'm affiliated with the village, I'm of the north, Minato. Northern villages being wiped out without a trace would hardly escape my notice. I've spent the last several weeks travelling. Long story made short, I found what has been causing it." Inchato took a deep breath before continuing.

"I found an army of barbarians from the north."

"I was able to track and kill one of their tracking parties, and I found some orders pertaining to this village.. The northmen will move in tonight to eliminate the village. I believe it will be happening soon. Evacuation's an impossibility. I was hoping to stop them before they reached here and parlay with the leadership to leave the village unharmed.. And when that failed to work, eliminate their leadership in one fell swoop." Inchato paused for a moment, letting all of what he said sink in for a moment. "You have to decide what you'd like to do quickly. They're going to be arriving soon. I have the orders I took from the leader of the scouting party with me, if you'd like to read them." Inchato said, as he gestured toward his pocket with his hand, looking at Minato expectantly.

"Haha, someone as clever as you would have found the information anyways, that is what you are trying to tell me." Minato said, throwing away his serious expression with a smile. It seemed that Inchato was a step ahead of the game, yet there was something strange. From the previous evidence gathered from the villages that were attacked, the enemies wiped the place clean without leaving a single trace of their identity. An army would not be capable of doing something as covert as that. If anything, the worked seemed highly specialized, high shinobi material, it would have to be the work of at no more than five talented individuals... or one clever one.

Yet, if Inchato's data was correct, he didn't had a reason to doubt it. He stepped forward, stretching his right hand in order to receive the letter Inchato had taken from the scouting leader.

As Gin accepted his offer to allow him to see the letter and his hand was still gesturing to his pocket, Inchato cast Minato in a seamless genjutsu. In this genjutsu, Minato would see Inchato reach into his pocket and withdraw a folded piece of paper, which he would then hold out to Minato, the piece of paper pinched lightly between his fingers.

The reality of Inchato's actions, however, are quite different. The moment that the genjutsu was cast, he drew a thin knife from the pocket he had gestured toward. With a blur of moment, Inchato lunged forward, Minato completely unaware as he would be smiling whilst he watched Inchato's arm moving to hand him the folded piece of paper. But he didn't do what he meant to. He had meant to slash Minato's throat, killing him in an instant. Instead, Inchato plunged the blade toward the center of Minato's chest. It seemed sentimentality had gotten to him.

(Genjutsu: Nise Gaikō)-Illusionary Arts: False Diplomacy
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C Rank
Range: Short
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: The user casts their target in a genjutsu by making a hand gesture at the target while in a short range. This gesture can be changed to fit the user's need. Upon doing so, the target will see the user performing a friendly action, such as offering them a handshake. In reality, the user does not actually offer this gesture, and is free to move and act as they please, so long as they stay within a short range of the target. Additionally, the user is able to use this technique in response to the friendly gesture of another. For example, if a target were to offer the user a handshake, the user would be able to cast this on the target, making them believe that they accepted the handshake, though they did not in reality. The gesture is not limited to a handshake, however. If the user desires, it can vary anywhere between something informal like the wave of a hand to something as intimate as a kiss. While maintaining this genjutsu, the user is unable to use any other jutsu. Should the user touch the target while this jutsu is active, the genjutsu will be broken, as the unaccounted touch would contrast heavily with what they were seeing. The user is able to incorporate speech into this illusion if they so desire. As eye contact is the trigger, this jutsu can obviously only be used on one person at a time. The purpose of this technique is for deception and precaution when dealing with diplomacy within RP sections like the Ninja World. It has no practical applications in battle, as it only works for friendly gestures.
Note: Can only be used thrice per battle.
