Coming from [x]

They had made it to their destination, finally. Floating atop the coated wind platform they had reached Frostfangs. A desolate icescape with scarcely few communities. It did, however, connect to the Aisu bay which gave it a prosper harbor to the north. That's where they were heading, a ship was waiting for the cargo that Drifter and his associate Carl had brought from the south-east being escorted by Alucard. As before, he and Drifter was hanging around on the front of the platform with the latter telling random stories about life as a mercenary and this new "Dark Age" as he defined it. In the back was his associate with Lilith. They had traveled for quite some time now without a real break and even if they had reached their destination landmark it would take them several hours to reach the shores that were on the far north side of the Frostfangs. With most of them tired and run out of coffee all of them but Alucard went into the caravan for a few hours rest. Alucard was restless, he noticed how the bandit gang had somehow caught up to them already even though they had taken an alternative route. It was almost like they knew exactly where they were at all times. Regardless, they had to be dealt with before they could reach the shores as they would probably end up hurting civilians too. Not to mention, Ada-1's drone would be susceptible to damage if they brought their entourage with them. Speaking of which, her drone had seen very little movement since it had flown here and stopped for whatever reason. Was the Artifact hindering even an Exo from sanity in the end? As the others went for some shut-eye, Alucard would disable his previously installed Yin/Fuuton barricade around the platform as the weather here was clear. It would also let him use chakra against the opposing force down on the ground which should make very quick work of them. He jumped down from the platform and landed in the snow. It was dead quiet here as the snow absorbed most sounds but also because it was a very dormant landmass. He stood there, ready to face the bandit gang whilst the platform with the cargo floated several meters above him almost like a tease. They were now within reach of most of his arsenal.

This is where you turn back before i slaughter you all.
He gave them a choice, something that was very rare.. However, despite the offer the enemy only got closer and closer. It didn't seem to have been inclined to them that they were facing death should they attempt to attack.

This might come as a shock to you but we're not going anywhere until we get what we came for. Also, queue the ominous music.

Huh?

You'll feel it soon enough..
Alucard gathered up his chakra, Lightning to be precise, cloaking his arms with discharging sparks. He pointed his right arm towards them.

Any last words?

Hows your daughter?
Alucard looked up towards the floating platform just in time to hear a loud screech from a familiar voice. In the very same second he then saw with her eyes, a sword impaling her through the stomach. His shared vision diminished to the sight of the person responsible who was still up there. Rage and despair struck Alucard simultaneously while his daughters clogged screams rung through his soul.

And that's our queue.
The bandits ran towards their seemingly petrified lone opponent. Alucard's platform shattered in the sky as his chakra that manipulated the gravitational forces that held it together in the first place was cut off. The three passengers along with the cargo would land on the snow, breaking the fall and leaving the caravan intact. He looked towards it, trying to pinpoint his daughter and the man responsible for killing her all in the same time he forced rage out of his still out stretched arm. He had no longer lightning charged up in it. Instead it was a combination of lightning and and wind forming the Liquid Krypton release which he used to expand a shock wave of the super cold fluid to freeze the opponents in place with while he himself would run towards Lilith. The liquid krypton spread through his arm as he ran. He could still sense her chakra but it was fading but that was not all. Drifter was also there holding his rifle towards his associate's forehead who held his hand still on the sword that was still inside Lilith's belly. They exchanged words, words that were muted to Alucard. Before he could get to them in time, Drifter had pulled the trigger, signing Carl off into oblivion. His expression was troubled and he leaned down over Lilith who was struggling to breathe at this point. She was clearly dying and there was nothing he could do to help her. Instead he aimed his barrel towards her head, tasking himself with sending her off from the pain and suffering she was experiencing now.

Don't you dare!!
Alucard had almost reached them by now and he had acknowledged Drifters initiative. Respecting his saviors wishes, Drifter stowed his rifle on his back once again, got up and dragged the body of his former associate and apparent betrayer out in the now red snow. Lilith had now gone unconscious and was choking on her own blood. Alucard would gather up Yang chakra through his body as he made his way towards his daughter. Sliding on his knees the last few meters using the momentum created from his running he finally reached her and was able to inject a copious amount of Yang chakra into her with his left hand while his right hand grabbed the sword by the blade and tore it out from her. It was not a nice sight. The blade was jagged and when he imbued Lilith with Yang chakra she regained conscious but would feel the barbaric sword exit her stomach. The pain was on the grandest ceiling imaginable but Alucard made quick work of it. When it was all over he hugged her and for the first time in ages, he shed a few tears. In the distance, Drifter, who had disposed over the traitor Carl's body gathered up the rest of the caravan and awaited the two of them. He gave them their moment, a moment that wouldn't last for very long as the two of them got back up on their feet albeit Lilith was still struggling to stand up straight. Noticing this, Alucard lifted her above his shoulders and put her legs around his neck as if a father carrying their child.

Now, before you say anything i did not have anything to do wi-

Let's just finish this..
Drifter did not finish his sentence, he merely nodded and got the caravan moving again. The frozen bandits in the background were starting to die off of hypothermia but Lilith didn't allow it. Regardless of she almost losing her life she would free them albeit giving some distance between the two parties. Once they were about a kilometer away she sent chakra through Alucard and ultimately through the earth itself creating a molten metal bonfire at the location they had been left stranded to help them heat up. Alucard scoffed at his daughters actions.

I.. i'm proud of you. Even though they deserved death.

No they didn't, i didn't die did i?

Hmph.
After having walking up to the northern border and overlooking the Aisu bay it was time to part ways with Drifter who had gained passage on a massive ship that would take him and his cargo off to the Outer Lands but before his departure he would speak to them again.

What a disaster that was yet somehow you guys ended up winning.. I can't thank you enough for the time together we had ya'll some inspiring people. By the way, i might have some enemies over at the Outer Lands where i'm heading. I'll send an envoy if something interesting comes up that i think you two could take on.

You should check the people you work with better..
As the Drifter left off, Alucard and Lilith headed towards Ada-1's drone.

It had now been hovering above the dark icy waters above Aisu bay for several days yet it remained steadfast up until the moment they had reached it. Through the use of his gravitational powers, Alucard had pulled Ada-1's mirror drone towards him but as soon as he did it simply vanished from all views and not even his sensory or Dojutsu could pick it up any longer. This revelation would trigger him to release it from his spell hoping it would re-appear which both of them would soon notice it would. It had returned back to it's original location yet again and de-cloaked itself from it's vanishing technology.

How infuriatingly irritating this had to be.

Perhaps we're meant to follow it, not retrieve it.

So it would seem. The trap is laid yet i have nothing to fear, not anymore.

Suuure pops.
The two of them headed out into the open waters of Aisu bay leaving the landmark of Frostfalls.
