How would the scene be when the manga transitions back to that fight? Many more dead fodders scattered across the ground? Everyone panting as the battle is still in an endless stalemate?

I can't speak for the others, but the picture isn't working. But yeah, I'm sure it'll be like you said. Although, I'm not sure if what is happening now (Sasuke chatting with the late Hokages) is currently happening. What I mean to say is, how do we know that it isn't a flashback of a flashback telling about another earlier flashback. 0.o
