gai takes this. i remember thinking that there was no way gai was an adequate rival for kakashi and thats why all their "matches" were stupid games and then he wrecks kisame and if that wasn't enough his hachimon was strong enough to almost kill an immortal madara AND he gained madaras acknowledgement something only hashirama had done before.
