Boruto is how Japanese people spell / pronounce the word "Bolt", which they borrowed from the English language. However, the name is also intended to be similar to "Naruto." For the sake of keeping that similarity, and because the name "Bolt" just isn't that appealing, people have gone back to using "Boruto."

It's also fair to mention that we generally don't translate characters' names, even if "Boruto" is a unique example.

I thought Bolt is the name of Naruto's son which one is Boruto again..or is Kishi trying to make his nae rhyme with Naruto???
Bolt is English, Buruto is the Japanese adaptation of the English word Bolt. When a word dose not existed in Japanese they Improvise by using a foreign and making it Japanese, just like English did by replacing Old English words with Latin,Greek and French like Folk replaced by people from Norman French.
