Mocking someone's religion or any religious idol do not fall under " Freedom of Speech " , i am not being biased here, i am saying that religion should not be a topic of humor not Just Islam but any other religion as well.
Mocking a religion really hurts that person who is the believer of that religion, but i ask this Have you ever heard of a Muslim creating a defamatory cartoon or film about any religion ? No, right but then why there is a cartoon or a defamatory film about Islam every single month, Why ?
The day when we developed Religious tolerance, we would have attained World Peace Only then !
Let's make a universal convention forbidding any one from defaming a religion !

I wasn't aware that Freedom of Speech had limitations.

Without criticism, we are all fools being lead by the blind.

I find incredibly assnine for one to generate such tomfoolery over a simple cartoon, especially when one is someone whom is supposed to truly believe in what they state to believe in; Well that is what I incur since it wouldn't make much sense to murder over trivial matters? Or did the French cartoonist raid an Islamic state burnt Qurans, defiled Mecca and spat on the Prophets?

Any Muslim who cares about these kinds things is quite stupid and easily revoked. I myself find it hard to be insulted by some random guy making what hardly can be a called a movie.
I'm yet to speak to a Muslim who doesn't share my opinion, but it's easy to focus the spotlight on the crazy bunch in the much bigger group.

If they cant take a joke, they should just crawl under a rock. I still find it idiotic for the extremists to be going so far for this petty matter. They need to buy some weed and chill.

There's a difference between insulting someone intentionally to provoke him and making a joke out of his beliefs, but the second is used to accomplish the first in this case.

Rioting, bombing, killing, heck even getting mad because of these kind of things is stupid.
However, saying that it's freedom of speech is stupid, and is hypocrisy. Offensive language is prohibited by the law, hateful speech is even more. But these laws seem not to apply when it comes to insulting Muslims.
And the argument of 'we say all sorts of things about Jesus' is stupid, seeing how you won't see riots when Christian Egyptians insult Muhammad, which happens a lot.

In this case, you're attacking someone verbally, you're calling a historical and religious figure a child molester. This movie is a clear vilification, and contains many distortions of history.
This is like making a movie about Martin Luther king and saying he was killed in a fight over kool-aid. It would be both offensive and would be a misinformation.

Theres plenty of videos on youtube or shows on adult swim which makes fun of Jesus and God saying it's a false prophet,etc

Most Christians hate the shows and want them to stop ,others accept it as a false/ joke/free speech.

I never knew it was a law to recognize the Holocaust, I'll remember next time when im visiting England to let the Queen know about my lack of recognition of the Holocaust: Hopefully I don't get imprisoned for a "stupidly high amount" of years

they can imprison you but not in just any case it happens its a lot more complicated than that, its more a matter of rallying ppl and giving speeches to them, not about movies, there are plenty of movies that have ppl denying the holocaust etc ...

even though i oppose these laws, except for the most extreme cases (ie to stop the spreading of nazism), they are not comparable to the movie or the cartoons of the prophet, holocaust was one of the greatest tragedies of human kind, muhammed is just one person or for some, one religious figure and I think having laws against the denyial of the worst tragedy in history and the spread of the ideologies that caused them is very different than imprisoning someone based on religious grounds, now if those two depictions of the prophet would spread an ideology like nazism (ie ideology that has caused things like a genocide) that would be completely different

making fun of a religious figure is not like genocide, not by a long shot ...

As for Muhammad's wife, She was already a young woman before Muhammad left Mecca and went to Almadina, and Muhammad married her after he returned to Mecca and took it over, which was 10 years after.
And since Aisha took part in historically recorded events and was quoted on things she said pre Muhammad's leaving to Almadina, we can assume she was at the very least old enough to speak.
Also, you guys took the most radical and illogical report of her age and ignored all the more trustworthy historical sources, just to make Muhammad look like a pedophile...

if someone married a girl that didnt reach puberty was punished it wouldnt be because someone said it it would be because thats the law, and the one saying it cant be punished, law is based on centuries of work and compromise so we can live in a society

People had life expectancies of around or maybe less than 40 years, consenting age was clearly not the same as it is now.

And the extremists fall for it. It's amazing how there not able to use their brains. Cant blame them I guess, since those people in the riot are all ignorant. I read more about it, she was 6 when he went to ask for her hand but he didn't marry her till she was 9 years old. I respect their beliefs but this is hard to shallow.It will always be for me.
