No it's not a power up. It was an experiment by Orochimaru. Sasuke had the skill to use the curse seal's power.

Rikudou Chakra was never a free power-up. Both had to be strong enough to even meet Hagoromo which takes into account all of Naruto and Sasuke's struggles to reach that point to where they could even meet him and receive Hagoromo's chakra.

The only freebie Naruto ever received was from Minato (Yang Kurama). Aside from that, the rest aren't. He earned the ability to use the Bijuus and earned Yin Kurama fair-and-square.

Not necessarily, but it would've been regardless because whether or not Sasuke faced his fear and actually did fight Orochimaru, Orochimaru still would've given him the Cursed Seal.

Naruto had to train to learn how to control Kurama's power, not to mention fight him and risk having his body taken over to unlock KCM. Using bijuu chakra isn't free.

The only hand out that could be considered free is EMS but even that's debatable because Sasuke had to face his brother before the eyes could be available for him to transplant.

Well the OP is clearly biased not mentioning Sasuke's free power ups and shows Naruto's power ups more than they actually are. Any such thread is a waste in my view and hence the worst thread imo.

It's not stupid if he gives reasons as to why that is. If it's proven to be supported by the manga, it's not necessarily biased. If anything, that would mean Kishi is biased.
