at one point, it had too much color, so i added gradients and darkened it a bit =/

looks pretty good. lighting and effects are cool.
when you have a texture like that on the render make sure you get it really sharp and mess with the contrast. it'll make the texture pop and make the focal stronger. don't over sharpen, but you can usually get it looking good with more sharpen than you would normally use. go little by little.
