a real tough one U_U.......itz not as simple as people make it sound!......
the fourth kazekage's gold sand is a real threat...but,some of the guys in this thread are forgetting the varieties of jutsu's that mei has!

she has 2 kg's and and the hidden mist jutsu which can be a real pain!the hidden mist jutsu can render the kazekage blind and fighting mei would become pretty hard for him.plus she has 2 kg's,not only the lava release but also the vapour release.....!

besides that,because of the fact she has 2kg's,she has three chakra natures fire,water and earth!she can use jutsu's from all three of her natures! so don't consider her a weak challenge at all!

as far as who would win goes,.......well.....it would be a matter of who is smarter than who!........but i would go with mei though!xd

i know its gaara but in seconds he was able to make summon enough gold sand to equal that and all she an do is this with lava such a small amount in roughly the same time span.

Lava can melt gold but the amount of gold that Gaara's father can create is just too much for her.
I say Fourth Kazekage high difficulty.

This is a tough one...I really dont know. If mei starts off with her hidden mist jutsu, this already means trouble for the kazekage as it obscures his vision. Then, she can utilise her boil release. The hidden mist will cover up the acidic mist, catching the kazekage off guard. This could perhaps create an openning for mei to attack using her melting apparition jutsu. Again, I'm not sure about this. And wouldn't using the gold dust be a bit dangerous? He could shield himself using the gold dust, but once mei's lawa jutsu makes contact, it will begin to melt. He might get stuck or get covered in gold...who knows! Btw I might be wrong, but I think mei's lava can melt madara's susanoo. If you look at one of the panels uploaded by one of the posters, he's complimenting the raikage and mizukage on their offence and it looks like his susanoo is starting to melt...

Until someone can come up with a really convincing to why one of them will defeat the other, im not gonna vote!

Agreed she has major offensive power, in addition his element is one that is extremely soft metal. The best thing that it could be used for is conducting heat and electricity and slowing down techniques. However this idea that the gold melting would not be a problem. Because he is a magnate release and melted gold is still magnetic all his techniques would still work unlike garra who is a wind release.
statistically Mei would win but hey I would think that kisame vs 4 tails kisame would loose, apparently not.

I've been reading some of the replies to some arguments and there are flaws in both sides.

Mei can ONLY use 3 elements; Earth, Water and Fire. She has 2 KG: lava release, which combines earth and fire and Acidic Mist, which combines water and fire. So far she is the only Naruto Universe character to have those techs. But it would also be inaccurate to assume that she only has those abilities. She could know some basic earth, water and fire techs.

Same goes for the Kazekage, who was shown only using gold sand. But it would be naive to assume he only has those skills.

Now based on what we've seen, Mei has more offensive moves than the Kazekage. What we've seen from her can easily overpower his. Thus, based on what we've seen, Mei wins this.

Also, one of the arguing parties was claiming that lava release was easy to dodge, because Karin "dodged it". Thing is, Karin didn't dodge it, because the attack was not AIMED at her. She just reacted to something that was close to her. Madara is another matter entirely, because of the sharingan. I hope this helps a little to settle some arguments.

No one has ever mentioned that Gold Sand has a push back force. Mei hasn't shown any technique that can counter a huge amount of Gold Sand, its just like a Tsunami in the Desert. Yeah, I believe that lava can melt gold, but the thing is Gold Sand has a powerful force that can push back the lava on Mei before it melts, it will only hurts Mei as well...

I believe that 4th Kazekage can create more gold sand than this, which is impossible to dodge.

exactly none of her attacks can create a sufficient amount of lava to counter a gold sand wave. it is too high and wide she cant cover it all in lava.

close, we havent really seen that much about the 4th to really judge. if the 4th can create a large wave fairly quickly then ill give it to him.
