Had he let Hiruzen help that's another Kingpin absent while Kurama destroys Konoha. Your thinking would cause much more deaths, injuries and problems for the leaf concerning Kurama.

Minato said he was running low on chakra, if he had ran out before he sealed the fox there would be no more konoha, and hiruzen was 0 help. this is all hiruzen could do in that situation

Fighting alone was the best option.

As Hokage he protected the village. He exhausted his chakra doing that, a price he had to pay.

Kushinas Chakra was almost drained, had he delayed in order to find someone else to seal the fox Kurama would've broken free once again and caused more destruction. It would've been much harder to seal an active bijuu rather then a captured one.

Sad to send your child through that, a life of sorrow for the strongest bijuu but he is the child of prophecy things had to happen. He did it at the same time to protect him.
