I been reading previous databook and saw this:

Four Images Seal (四象封印, Shishou Fuuin)
Fuuinjutsu, No rank, Supplementary, Short range (0-5m)
User: Yondaime Hokage

A sealing formula that seals evil using a circle four images!!

As the result of a fuuinjutsu, a sealing formula is carved into, for instance, a human body or an object. The "Four Images Seal" is one of these. This sealing formula is mainly used when a giant enemy or evil spirit needs to be sealed. To use it, it is necessary for the user to have great ability. In Naruto, two of these "Four Images Seals" have been carved. This is called an "Eight Trigrams Sealing-style"*.

Can someone please proper explain how this jutsu works. People in past have say yondaime has no good sealing jutsu, but this looks quite op.

It seem mainly for sealing large target or enemy or evil spirit. I guessing that refer to sealing opponents chakra or maybe sealing oppoents soul? Reminds me of nagato human path. Is it similar? Also i notice it say it can be into human body or object? So user not restricted to just a person, so it could be an object like a kunai? Yondaime sealed remaining kura,a into naruto with this seal, this seem quite op to me, a jutsu/fuin people dont give much credit for.

For example, could yondaime remove spirit or soul of edo tensei and seal it into object? I think yes, but not sure. I guessing if he can seal half kurama, then surely must he can even seal strong opponents like er sandaime raikage?

Again i dont know much of this jutsu, but it appear much stronger than originally thought. What you all think?

And pls pardon english.

Yes it is, always has been.
It can seal something as big and powerful as kyuubi, it's a very OP seal even compared to other seals according to killer bee.

People ganged up on uzumaki because they feared the seals so much.

That what i though.

Only thing i dont understand is how he performs the jutsu. Does he place seal on opponent first, before sealing them into other object. Or can he pull out opponent spirit/chakra and then seal it into another object? This only part which not makes sense to me.

From what I gather, the jutsu requires the user to make contact with the oppoenent or enemy. And then said oppoenent can be sealed into an object or person or whatever. Since minato was able to seal Kurama, I'm sure he can seal any target, no matter who it is (that's what the wiki says anyway).

Minato was pierced by Kurama's nail, so they were both in contact. Minato then sealed him into Naruto. Could be that by touching the opponent and object you want to seal the oppoenent in at the same time is how minato performs the seal.

Either way, it's a very high level sealing jutsu, one people neglect a lot actually. Who needs mountain buster fire power when you can just seal your oppoenent into a toad or kunai or rock or something. Minato is a sealing jutsu expert which is very much overlooked'as one of his abilities. The guy sealed Kurama twice for goodness sake.

Nice thread. Now I'll remember this jutsu when people try to say minato has no way of taking down certain opponent.
