] Maybe it was the red sun barrier? What's for sure is that the barrier in question must have been equal or stronger than Kushina's since he intended to use it despite her being there and it should be strong enough to counter at least Kyubi's attacks

I've always wondered what barrier minato wanted to use there. It would make sense if it was the 4 red sun formation because he was worried that he wouldn't be able to do it with his chakra. And Kishi always ends up showing jutsu that he's mentioned in the past so perhaps you are onto something. Plus it would have had to be a powerful barrier to contain the nine tails.

Kushina taught Minato the Uzumaki chain barrier jutsu, I don't think it's impossible, plus Kushina says "she can still do it" as if minato was going to use the same jutsu.

The barrier isn't a collaborative jutsu at all. It only depends on the chakra reserve you put in it. Jubito used a similar barrier(but stronger) alone. Minato didn't have BM at the start of the war anyway

Yes it is. Just like the sound ninja with that barrier, its the same case with Hokages. Don't compare Juubito to the Hokages. And even if it means chakra levels, none of the Hokages have the supply of chakra needed to do it alone.
