It's not pride like "Oh yea I did this all by myself, I worked hard on this and I'm proud." It's like "I believe myself to be more worthy to tell me what is best for me than an all knowing all seeing God."

OT: The comment about thoughtless slaves isn't true; Adam already had the gift of free-will and so did Eve, otherwise neither would not have been fooled into eating the forbidden fruit. The fruit gave us understanding of the differences in good and evil, in the context of the bible of course.

Maybe I'm just blowing a joke out of proportion, but it's not a joke I feel comfortable with. Meh.

Not true they were both grown and they both knew what they were doing. It's not like god didn't warn them he told them straight up don't touch this tree. And they did know better hence why Satan fooled Eve and not Adam, why? Cause he knew that Adam wouldn't be fooled so easily, which is why he tricked Eve. And nowadays how many men do you see get tricked into things by getting seduced by women? Satan had the whole thing planned out he knew he wouldn't have been able to trick Adam which is why he tricked Eve and have Eve talk Adam into eating the apple.
