Hey everyone,

Time for another round of updates on AnimeBase, slowly but surely we’re shaping this place back into the community hub it used to be. Here’s what’s new this week:

1. Social Groups are back, as Clubs!
Do you remember the legendary Social Groups from the old NarutoBase era? They’re officially back on AnimeBas as Clubs!
Clubs let you create your own little hangout spaces inside the forum. Each club can have their own discussion sections, their own vibe, even in your own language. It’s the perfect way to find your people and build mini-communities within AnimeBase.

To kick things off, we’ve launched the very first club: Otaku Base オタク・ベース — a spot for anime, manga, gaming, J-culture, and just casual otaku life. Jump in, introduce yourself, and let’s get that old Social Group energy flowing again!

2. Notification bug fixed!
Some of you noticed notifications were acting weird, that’s been fixed. You should now see alerts popping up correctly when you’re tagged, quoted, or replied to.

3. Better navigation
We’ve cleaned up the side navigation on your Account details page, so it’s easier to find what you’re looking for. The same goes for the Notable Members page, which now has a smoother layout.

Click on the current icon of your group. I assume you have no icon, so it will be an alphabet instead.

I love how quickly everyone is already jumping in to try out the new addons. Seeing multiple groups pop up this fast honestly makes me really happy, this is exactly the kind of energy we hoped to bring back. Keep experimenting and creating, that’s what will make the community thrive again. Let us know if you need something.
