On January 6th, 2017, a shooting took place in the Fort Lauderdale Florida airport which left 5 people dead, 13 wounded and 37 injured.

  The shooter was identified as Estban Santiago, a 26 year old National Guard Veteran who had just flown down from Anchorage, Alaska. He also served in the Iraq War from 2010-2011
  
  
  [*]Santiago Stopped at baggage claim to retrieve a gun that he transported on his flight, headed to a bathroom where he loaded his weapon, and returned to the communal area where he began shooting
  
  
  [*]Prior to the shooting, Santiago was under psychiatric care from 2014-2016 for an unknown condition. He was reportedly taking antidepressants and other psychotropic medication prescribed by his psychiatrist
  
  
  [*]In November 2016, Santiago had visited an FBI office in Alaska, claiming that his mind was being controlled by the U.S. government, which had ordered him to watch Islamic propaganda videos. From there, the FBI had him taken in by local law enforcement and medically evaluated.
  
  
  [*]Investigators found an email address belonging to Sanitago by the name "[email protected]", which led to investigators finding an image of Esteban wearing a keffiyeh and doing the 1 raised finger radical Islamic salute.
  
  
  [*]In 2007, someone using the username Naota33, the same as Santiago's email, posted on an explosives and weapons forum on a thread about mass-downloading propaganda videos from Islamic terrorist. 'Naota33' commenting 'the first link is the only one that works', led investigators to believe he had tried to download radical Islamic jihadist propaganda online.

Just getting worse and worse. Really makes you wonder what he was on medication for. Also it's a shame if he was barely investigated after apparently making these claims inside of an FBI building.

Right, that's the craziest part. A man walks into your office claiming that the "government" is forcing him to watch terrorist videos, you'd think they'd detain him for a while or get him psychologically evaluated. A similar thing happened with the Orlando nightclub shooter being investigated by FBI, and them not keeping him under surveillance or investigating claims people have made. I hold the FBI partly responsible for this.

Yeah. People with apparent mental health issues, speaking on Islamic terrorism, probably should be on a no fly list. Im confused with the weapon though, was he allowed to transport it by airplane? I never knew that was a thing here honestly.
