In the corner of a sphere,
I sit poised,
in a manner suited for Lear.
Purple blinds drape around me,
cackling covertly,
as I believe so wilfully.
An animistic throne fashions me into a pawn,
I follow aimlessly,
...but still bearing a resolve stronger than awn.
This politically based poem has quite a specific target but can be applied more generally. Those in the UK can probably guess what purple is symbolising.
