okay so, after the sad demise of our dear friend Neji, I noticed something....
in the Naruto Shippuden intro #12 (the Moshimo one)
it shows a line up of the characters, like usual, but then, after the first set of characters, there are 4 characters that got split up with the crowd and got their own little slide, and then the next one shows 6 other characters.
the first 4, are Lee, Neji, Tenten, and Might Guy, as we already know, Neji is dead, maybe that is some foreshadowing on Lee, Tenten, and Might Guy's deaths?
and then, on the next slide with the 6 other characters, it shows Tsunade, Shizune, Iruka, Sakura, Kakashi, and Sai. As we already know, Tsunade could actually die, and Kakashi has already died, even thought he got revived by the Rinne Tensei, it's not good to ignore those types of things.
And after that, it shows Naruto doing a jutsu sign, and then his parents come from behind him, who are both, repeat after me.... DEAD.
and I looked up the lyrics that play during that part
(Moshimo yume naraba tori modosenai no nara
Kono kimochi wa doushite tsutaereba ii no? Imadani oikaketeru ano hi no zanzou wo)
well, in english it says this
(If it's a dream then I don't want to get it back.
That's why it's alright to convey this feeling, right? Even now I still chase that sunshine's afterimage.)
"if its a dream then I don't want to get it back" Could be talking about Neji's death in a genjutsu dream, or a metaphorical dream
"That's why it's alright to convey this feeling, right?" could be about Lee and Might Guy's deaths
"Even now I still chase that sunshine's afterimage" could be any of the rest of the characters that I mentioned
and keep in mind, the people who animate the manga, have to show it to Kishimoto just in case it doesn't conflict with his story, or anything like that, further leading me to believe that those characters are gonna die in this war.
