Why is it that people wish to force their own beliefs onto another? Be it religiously, regarding morale, or just being choices of daily things. Why would someone that is religious care so much about someone who is without religion? Why is it that "You're going to burn in hell!" a normal response to someone with different beliefs? I'd really would like to know.

I used to respond with that haha.

OT: In Christianity we are taught that hell is the epitome of everything awful and weeping and burning. Basically it sucks.
Why would I actually want someone to spend the rest of eternity never feeling happiness?

It says so in the Bible to "spread the word", which is partly why you can occasionally find "missionaries" handing out books and pamphlets in public places, and why the Jehovah's Witness groups exist. They took out the part about forcing the spread of their beliefs through conquering lands and forced adoption, though.

not everyone is like that, i mean but its the same thing with the person whos from another religion or is atheist its not that a person wants to force someone to believe in there own religion its just some feel different ways about it. for me example idc what religion you are just dont be telling me god aint real or any other dumb thing beccause its the same if not worst than forcing someone to believe in something than it is to try to not only decieve that person but to strip a person of there own belief/faith

Its their natural self preservation instinct...... lets just say that existence religion A threatens the existence of Religion B bcos by their own logic only one can be true and somehow majority of both seems to act like as though silencing the opposite party is best way to prove its own validity. Not mention Special Snowflake Syndrome is also the culprit....
