I Wonder What the word forbidden means in narutoverse. Everyone use them .from the strongest kage to the weakest gennin (part one naruto (shadow clones)) free of consequenses .

But when other people like orochimaru use them, they absolutly have to be killed for their "sins".

Techs like kagebunshin or 8 gates requires sacrifce from the user himself/herself.

Edo tensei or Oro's body-swap techs requires sacrifice from other individuals.

Some may differ in these ways.

They're forbidden because they either go against the morals of the world, or cause bodily harm to the user. Multi shadow clone jutsu is forbidden because splitting your chakra evenly 100 ways is a bad idea and will kill you fast. Edo tensei is forbidden because it's abhorrent to the world.

There are different kinds and reasons for labeling a jutsu as forbidden, the ones that cause bodily harm are more like suggestions, rather than laws or rules, whereas the ones that violate humanity are against the law so to speak.

It s "forbidden". not "forbidden unless you sacrifice your own body".

Read this carefully... Some jutsu can only be used by certain individuals, not all.
