Forbidden Jutsu Weapons(pain)

When Jiraiya is talking to Pain, Pain says his plan for the tailed-beasts is to make weapons, which differs from Tobi's(Madara then) InfiniteTsukyomi. So is this the plan that was orginally supposed to happen then Kishi decided to change it for the whole Ten-Tails Inifinite Tsukyomi thing? If not then were Tobi(Madara then) and Pain aware their plans for the Beasts differ from one another?

So like did Pain know of Obito's I.T plan and just go along with him but later on planned to make weapons with the Beasts instead and overthrow Obito whom was acting as Madara then?

Possibly or Pain simply wasn't aware of what Obito was intending.

Pain likely wasn't aware since Obito's plan entailed that Nagato was a sacrifical pawn for Madara's resurrection.

Ya it never seemed to me like any1 made a big deal out of this, when this was supposedly the Akatsuki's original plan. And it seemed that Pain and Obito were associating closely. The one and only time it showed them meet in person when Tobi declared himself Madara for the first time it seemed as though they were on the same page.

Wasn't Nagato meant to be Obito's "pawn to sync with the Gedo Mazo"?

Edit: oh and he was supposed to use Rinne Tensei... On Madara, I guess? I need to re-read or something.

obito was using nagato and konan to help him gather the tailed beasts without drawing attention to himself.

he was going to use nagato to revive madara, or more specifically use his eyes after it was all set and ready. or that was the plan laid down by madara to obito. nagato was nothing more than a pawn, he was one of the only people who could wield the rinnegan cuz he was uzumaki

Nagato knew about IT but Tobi did use what Pain intended to do in the war against SA.
