I see a lot of confusion on the base of why sasuke is doing what he is doing and to me it seems pretty simple;
Right now, every single person in the world is under IT and has no idea what is going on
therefore, if sasuke kills naruto, sakura, and kakashi, than figures out a way to release everyone from IT they will have to take his story on what happened once everyone went under IT, which I'm sure would have naruto sacrificing himself and telling him to look after the next generation
if the five kages are dead when this happens, than the people will look towards a new leader, and since sasuke would be the "hero" who saved the world, logically it would probably be him
I have no doubt some people would distrust him, but he'd have the support of a lot of people, and he would than be able to implement his revolution, not through power, but through actual support from the people
(its kind of like we have to believe everything the so6p says because there was no one around to disprove him)
