They are only equal if he doesn't have rsm. If you watch their last fight sasuke had to absorb all 9 bijuu chakra to be even with naruto. and he still lost.

Sasuke didnt lose a physical battle, he lost on ideals. Sasuke didnt absorb all chakra from the bijuus, he absorbed portions from each. Naruto clearly still has rsm as their is no pigment around his eyes in gaiden or boruto the movie.

I used to think he may have lost it, but I realized something.

When he kicked the tsb away he had nine tails/toad eyes, but no orange eye markings. That's rikudo mode.

He still has it.
