Not really. Forums are kinda social media too lol. Also, doesn't really stop other tracking. The only difference between the government collecting data and social medias doing so is that the latter will sell your data to any company with the money to buy it, whereas governments are picky with it. Well, also the fact that government has way, WAY more information and efficient sorting. E.g. if you make 3 separate accounts on 3 separate devices, each from 3 separate locations and 3 separate emails, they could all be traced back to you because information such as your cell phone's gps location is tracked too and they're given a probability of you being the same person by analyzing your web-traffic & other stuff.

As are those family and friends and office whatsapp groups. Quitting is getting out of touch completely since people post important messages in between the spam. But damn... so much spam... I have missed the important messages more than once. Still there are times when I do not check them for a week and then mass delete everything without bothering to check.

Can someone explain me this :

I bought new laptop 6-7 months and created new google account cause I forgot old one password . 99 % of my activity is about Strongman , arm wrestling and vast gaming related stuff. Other 1 % is sometimes visiting this forum , or searching something for answer.

I never visited any porn site or anything *** related on my new laptop yet I am constantly getting adds about penis increase , *** related stuff with whores and similar. Why is this the case and how to stop this nonsense.

OT :

Only social media I always visit is youtube I never chat with someone and dont even have facebook , instagram , twitter , skype and similar , I dont like that stuff and never really did.

I do have Viber on my phone but that is so others can send me a message for free.

I would really feel empty without youtube during my free time I am still playing video games but I also love watching videos.

i think its hip-hop's evolution in the same vein as like punk rock. like hip-hop is still a relatively new genre, its going through what rock music did. at the height of rock music you had people like Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, etc. just crazy talented people at their craft and that became the standard of whats good. from that came punk rock which was a rejection of needing a large amount of skill to make good songs. mumble rap is essentially doing that but with rapping as the craft, de-evolving it to like evolve the genre and push it further to something new. but overall i like a few mumble rap artists, like Playboi Carti, Lil Baby, Gunna. but im more into old school hip-hop like the 90's specifically. i like hearing stories and word play in hip-hop, i also like boom bap the east coast style of hip-hop that had a lot of jazz instrumentals and a specific boom bap drum pattern in the 90s. some of the mumble rap style beats be fire, mainly because of technologies advancements but its not my favorite type of hip-hop but i understand what its doing for the genre as a whole and sometimes it hits, Playboi Carti specifically, i like a lot of his stuff

man i have one big problem with rap im not sure if you'll understand me...in rap song 90% of instrumental is just teh same repetitive rythm like boom boom boom..and then rappers start eating words....so it looks like boring style....2pac was teh only exeption imo..

I use them for texting, I don't mind using them if I can communicate since people have their own app preferences and whatnot (my friends included) I personally really don't care what the platform is, if it gets the job done. Which is mostly messanger, I like it, chatheads are cool imo and pretty convenient. Yeah the data stuff, I mean i'm using windows 10 so i'm already out there.

I mostly use social media to see people's perspectives, debates and that sort of thing. I'm more of a lurker now.

I'm not social enough for the more social social media apps to really be a part of my life. I made Facebook and Instagram and all of that later only to communicate with a few people or for school projects.

For me, it's sites like 4chan, reddit, discord, that consume too much of my time and negatively affects me.
