Aj mouthed the words Keotsu had spoken and gripped the hilt of his sword tightly. 'Prayer of Fortitude'. A prayer of conviction to himself. A prayer would allow him to never falter, no matter the circumstances. It was a technique that allowed him to turn the opponent's power against them by reflecting their own attacks. The Prison gate sword took the effects of the first prayer from his sword, and covered entirety of his body. While it took the First Prayer’s defensive ability, he would be able to return an opponent's attack with the swing of his blade. "Prayer of Fortitude: Prison Gate Sword", would allow him to endure so that he could protect what he held dear to his heart.

After all this, Aj had only one question. It was something he should have asked when he performed the shining autumn pillar earlier, but it had slipped him. Since the prayer of fortitude could only be used when the first prayer was active, he needed to clarification on the duration of the first prayer itself.

"How long does the first prayer last?"
"A good question. Think of it like this: it is a literal prayer. Once it is said, it does not need to be said again, every time you invoke it. Once in battle, unless something specifically deactivates the Prayer, it remains active. The weakness in the First Prayer is that, though it remains active, its abilities can only be tapped into with a specific motion, thus the need for the Aki-gamae.

Gokumonken eliminates the need for the specific action, and allows ANY action to invoke its powers.

So, once activated, the First Prayer lasts until it is either somehow canceled, you release its effects, or unless a certain other Prayer - the Last Prayer - is used, which causes the technique to "force quit", in order to protect yourself...but we shall cover that later.

For now...Are you ready to move on to the Second Prayer?"
"Am I welcome to Join? ;D"
Sorry bud, but this is between AJ and I.

"Understood"

Aj took a minute to think over what Keotsu had revealed to him, and tried finding ways in which he could apply the two techniques into his own style of fighting. He wouldn't know how well he'd be able to employ the prayers himself, but that part could wait. He'd have to learn them all first. He sighed and looked back to Keotsu

"I'm ready"

The next technique is based upon the principles of Iaido, and thus works frighteningly well for Samurai, whom have unmatched speed in such a form, but is devastating nonetheless in the hands of the master swordmen who wield the Command Arts.

The technique, Broken Mirror Severing, is simple in execution. Think of a normal Kenjutsu shockwave as a single mass of glass. By applying force, we create an infinite number of "shards" out of that single piece. On the fundamental level, this is Zekkyodan; strike with a thousand blades, versus only one. It was made to work both defensively, and offensively, though.

When unsheathing your blade, you project your chakra forward with the quick, drawing motion of your blade, flinging your chakra forward unto your enemy, the infinite number of chakra blades tumbling through the air in a beautiful dance. The incredible power of this assault should make all that stands in it's path yield, reduced to dust.

But, besides being an incredible offensive threat, it has incredible utility defensively. The Prayers defenses are only so strong; they are not absolute. But, when sheathing your blade, while using Zekkoydan, instead of launching these infinite blades forward, they will surround you in a dome, striking out at everything around you.

The immense power of Zekkyodan will be concentrated around you, mush like the Hyuuga do with their Rotation attack, weakening an incoming attack enough that the First Prayer should defend you, if Zekkyodan does not outright destory it, itself.

Zekkyodan is the standard offensive unit of the Prayers. It is to be used to both harass your opponent with a powerful attack, and allow a significant, temporary, boost to your Prayers to help further defend you.

I bestow upon you the knowledge for the Second Prayer."

(Kamei Gigei: Dai ni no Inori: Zekkyōdan) Command Art: Second Prayer: Broken Mirror Severing
Rank: S
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Description: The second in the “Prayer” series of Command Arts, Zekkyōdan differs in its working depending on if the user’s blade is being resheathed or drawn, though in both cases the move is a strange type of Battōjutsu, meaning that it involves multiple cuts. In the event that the sword is being sheathed, there is a quick flash as the blade’s guard meets the top of the scabbard, during which a chakra burst creates a countless number of cuts in a 360 degree short-range dome around the user, shredding any incoming attack to dust; this being the defensive variant of the move. When unsheathing the blade, however, the affect is “launched”; that is, when the blade is unsheathed, a cyclone of chakra is shot forward, with the chakra inside the cone-like structure acting as tiny knives, shredding that which they come into contact with; this is the offensive variant of the move.
*Cannot be used unless the first “Prayer” has been activated.
*Can only be used once per turn.
*Due to needing to reset their stance, this move cannot be used back-to-back, even between turns, meaning another technique must be used in between uses.
*The same version of this move cannot be used consecutively – meaning, if the defensive variant is used first, the offensive variant must be used the next time the technique is used.

Since his sword was already drawn, Aj had decided to perform the defensive aspect of the Second prayer first. He went sheath the blade, but as the tsuba touched the top of the scabbard there was a quick flash. During the flash a chakra burst created a countless number of cuts in his immediate vicinity that spanned 360 degrees around him in the shape of a dome. The defensive aspect of the second prayer shredded any incoming attacks to dust, or weakened it to the point where the first prayer would protect him.

"Now for the next one"

Aj grabbed the hilt of his sword and channelled chakra into it as he pressed the thumb of his left hand against the Tsuba. As he pulled the blade free of it's scabbard he projected the stored chakra forward, throwing his chakra in the form of a cyclone with the chakra inside acting as tiny knives. The countless chakra blades tumbled along in a beautiful dance, forcing anything that stood in it's path to be reduced to dust. Aj unsheathed his sword and stood firm, surveying the tear in the earth the blades had left along their journey.

Keotsu nodded as his friend performed Zekkyodan.

"Very good. Zekkyodan is one of my more favorite techniques. Its incredibly versatile.

The next Prayer I don't know how much use you'll glean from. It was designed for a specific strategy, though it does have it's uses outside of it.

Where as the last few Prayers have been based upon concepts of an immovable pillar, this one is based upon the concept of making an army out of oneself. It works simply by focusing your chakra around you, like a shroud; as time goes on, by guiding that chakra, you can move this "Phantasm".

A "clone" that is not a clone, that mimics your every movement...This doppelganger can actually become an invaluable ally.

Now, inherit my third prayer..."

(Kamei Gigei: Dai san no Inori: Sōgenmu) Command Art: Third Prayer: Twin Phantasms

Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: The Third in the “Prayer” series of Command Arts, Sōgenmu is a type of Psuedo-bunshin developed specifically for Kenjutsu. The user will coat their body in a layer of chakra, creating a rainbow colored doppelganger. This doppelganger mimics every attack the user makes, down to even the launching of shockwaves and the amount of force behind an attack. At first, the doppelganger fluctuates only slightly around the user, making it appear as if the user is surrounded by some sort of haze. As time progresses, and the phantasm becomes more unstable, the user can “slide” and “rotate” the doppelganger away from them; though it will still mimic the user’s moves exactly, it will remain a set distance from the user. This changing in orientation allows the user to use the doppelganger to maximum effect.
*Cannot be used unless the first “Prayer” has been activated.
*The doppelganger remains for five turns.
*Can only be used once per turn.
*Can only be used three times.
*Every jutsu that the clone uses counts as an additional move per-turn with the exception of the Command Art Mirage Blade (Kamei Gigei: Kougenjin).
*The distance the clone can move is as follows: T1: Short; T2: Between Mid-Short; T3: Mid; T4: Between Mid-Long; T5: Long.

Aj raised his sword and held it perpendicular to the ground, about at a forty five degree angle with his right leg slightly backwards. He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly as he focused his chakra like a shroud around him, guiding it to create a rainbow colored doppelganger that mimicked every attack he made. From the launching of shockwaves, down to the exact amount of force held therein. At first the doppelganger fluctuated slightly around him, making it appear as if he was surrounded by some sort of haze. As time progressed the phantasm became more unstable, and Aj separated the doppelganger away from him. Though apart from him it still mimicked his moves exactly, remaining a set distance away.

"A rainbow colored version of myself? Kinda....Strange if I say so myself"

Aj Jumped backwards as the he slashed his blade diagonally through the air, and the doppelganger did the same. They both grinned mischievously and looked towards Keotsu with their swords pointed towards him.

"Yeah, its....one of the more odd techniques that I've devised. I'll be the first to admit that."

Keotsu watched as AJ and his phantasm lept backwards, and then pointed their blades towards him, causing Keotsu to laugh.

"Hey, don't get any bright ideas just yet. We have one more technique to go...

"The next Prayer is also the last, and is the only one created with a solely offensive purpose. It summons forth the Wrath of Heaven's armies, dropping down a pillar of energy, capable of rending a mountain range to dust. This power rivals that of the Bijuu, and perhaps even surpasses them...

It is not a technique I have ever used. Take the knowledge, and use it only wisely, for this power comes with the end of the Prayer's Blessings."

Rather than demonstrating the technique, Keotsu handed AJ a textbook that Keotsu had been concealing within his tunic; within it, was the details onto how the final prayer functioned.

(Kamei Gigei: Saigo no Inori: Tenshōha) Command Art: Final Prayer: Heaven’s Illumination Conquest
Rank: Forbidden
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 50
Damage: 150 (-50 to user)
Description: The final “Prayer” of the Command Arts, Tenshōha is also the only offensive Prayer to not directly attack with the user’s sword, though it still falls into the Kenjutsu category due to needing the user’s sword to activate. Breaking the semi-crouching stance attained by the first Prayer, the user will stand and focus their chakra into their blade. By sheathing their blade, the user activates the technique. Their chakra will be unleashed in a powerful burst, calling forth a massive pillar of energy from the Heavens that descends upon the battlefield. Falling with incredible strength, the pillar has enough force to level the terrain completely and leave nothing but dust in its wake, though the after-effects of the jutsu seem to encourage the growth of life in the area. The user, at the epicenter of the blast, takes 50 damage; the only reason they do not pass out is because the chakra coursing through their body from the first Prayer forms a protective dome around them, lessening the blow of the blast.
Can only be used if the first “Prayer” was used sometime earlier in the battle.
*When used, the effects of the first “Prayer” end.
*Can only be used once.
*The user can only use two techniques in the turn this is used, this jutsu included in that tally.
*No other Prayer can be used in the same turn.
*No Prayers can be used in the next turn.
*This is a Non-elemental blast.

Aj laughed along with his old friend and simply waved his hand, dispelling the clone. He listened as Keotsu explained the final and most devastating COmmand Art. The final prayer. Since not even it's creator had used it, Aj took heed to the warning he gave and accepted the textbook that held the details of how the final prayer functioned. He sat cross-legged and rested his sword across his lap, hesitating before opening it. He locked eyes with Keotsu for a moment and looked back down on the cover of the book.

"Well, here goes"

He opened the book and read it's scriptures aloud.

"The final “Prayer” of the Command Arts, Tenshōha. By breaking the Autumn stance attained by the first Prayer, the user will stand and focus their chakra into their blade. By sheathing it the user activates the technique. The user, who will be at the epicenter of the blast takes some damage but will not die due to the chakra coursing through their body from the first Prayer's protective dome around them"

Aj closed the book and blinked unbelievingly.

Keotsu nodded, as AJ closed the textbook.

"Tenshouha is an incredibly powerful technique. I have ways to do more damage in a single blow, but nothing is quite so...intimidating as dropping a pillar from the heavens. Its greatest drawback, though, is that it ends the powers of the Prayers once used. So, be wary.

So, my friend. Do you have any questions or comments about these techniques that I have imparted to you?"

Aj grasped his sword and rose to his feet as he dusted himself off.

"I could imagine. How may techniques do you know that can level entire battlefields?"

He thought of all the fights he's been apart of in the past, and remembered how Hasashi had almost single handedly crushed kumogakure, how Jake had blow up an entire village, and just recently how Madara had crushed an island.

"Scratch that. Just one question. The final Prayer ends the power granted by the past onrs, but for how long? Does that mean I won't be able to use the prayers at all after this is used, or would I have to start again with the first prayer?

"There's a span of a few minutes where, after using the Final Prayer that you 'fall out of favor' with their powers, and thus won't be able to call upon their powers again (two turns). However, after this time period passes, you can indeed use the prayers again. But, like you've guessed, it involves starting over with the First Prayer."

"Ah. Thanks for clearing that up"

AJ walked a few feet away from Keotsu and reached into the pouch strapped to his leg, removing a scroll that he then threw over his shoulder and towards him. The scroll It depicted the movements needed to perform the technique, it's uses, and it's restrictions

"It's not much, but this is my own earth technique known as 'Sanctuary of Swords'".

Type: Offensive
Rank: S
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Description:The user will perform the Horse → Dog → Ox → Snake handseals and channel earth chakra into their sword(s) before thrusting it into the earth. This will cause countless earthen swords four feet in length to rise from the ground across the battlefield with either the blades or hilts facing skyward, and leaving only a small area around the user undisturbed. When this technique is used with the blades facing upwards, they will emerge with such devastating force that they would be able to impale a large summoning creature. The blades are then able to be shoot skyward to attack aerial targets at the user's will. The blades will then fall back upon the field due to gravity but they will fall with the blades facing downwards and lodge themselves in the ground. This provides the user with an virtually unlimited supply of weapons that can be thrown at the opponent or used to fight in close combat, but since traces of the user's chakra remains in the earthen swords, only the user will be able to dislodge them from the earth. The created blades crumble after three turns
~Can only be used twice per battle.
~No S-Rank or above earth techniques in the same or next turn.
~Must wait four turns before it can be used again.

He walked back over to Keotsu and stood close to his back as he instructed him to perform the technique[/QUOTE]

Keotsu caught the scroll and undid the latching on it, before reading the contents. The premise was simple, but one that was remarkably useful; it remind him of something akin to how an Earth element Command Art might function; it was also reminiscent of his Infinite One-Sword Style.

"Heh, you know me. I won't turn down a gift of Kenjutsu."

Holding his blade in hand, Keotsu quickly formed the four handseals for the technique, before taking Mythos and plunging its blade into the ground, sending a torrent of earthen blades flying into the sky. He smiled; he couldn't help it.

Looking towards AJ as all the blades came crashing down, Keotsu nodded.

"I like this one."

Aj grinned back towards Keotsu as he nodded towards him. He knew that if no one else, then his old friend would truly appreciate the worth of the Sanctuary of Swords. With the surrounding area covered in earthen blades that only Keotsu could remove, Aj sat and leaned against one of the swords.

"I knew you would."

As he sat a lone butterfly fly between the two, and perched atop the hilt of the sword closest to him.

As instructed, Aj removed both swords from their sheaths on his hips and held them outwards to Keotsu. He wasn't really sure what was going to come next, but what did it matter?

"What's this?"
Keotsu withdrew Mythos, scabbard and all, and watched as the blade transformed into its complete form, something that he rarely did with the blade. He then laid his blade across his friend's blades, and waited, before completing the ritual.

"I can grant your blade all the powers that Mythos has, except the power to change its shape...do you want me to go through with this?"

Aj thought about the proposal his old friends had laid out before him. All the abilities of Mythos besides that of shape shifting. Perhaps this could alleviate Izanagi's bloodthirst, even if only a bit.

"Lets Proceed"

Nodding, Keotsu then focused. Perhaps, more than anyone else, performing this ritual for his friend here would be easy. There was a moment where it seemed as if nothing had happened, but, then, Izanami would take on a silvery gleam, characteristic of the Mythril that Mythos was forged of. A thin layer of the metal would cover the entirety of the weapon, granting it the powers of Keotsu's own blade, hopefully helping his friend in conflicts in the future.

The process was personal; Mythos responded only to Keotsu's soul, and so by doing this, he was letting his friend into the very essence of his existence. Keotsu believed that, while there were challenges we had to face alone, that help from friends was not a bad thing. If his friend wanted it, perhaps Keotsu could help bare the burden of the bloodlust within his blades; perhaps, help put it to rest.

(Ani) Brother
Type: Supplementary
Rank: N/A
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: Keotsu's legendary blade Mythos has been with him through trials and tribulations of all sorts; and in turn, Keotsu has used his strength to help his friends through their own challenges. The strength Keotsu could offer was always limited, though, as so many of his teachings were made with his own blade in mind. This technique allows others to use Mythos, when they normally could not. Because Mythos is tied to Keotsu's soul, he will perform a small ritual with one that Keotsu is incredibly close to: Keotsu will place Mythos in its entirety atop one of his brothers-in-arms' weapons, and coat it in an incredibly thin layer of the Mythril that Mythos is made of. In this action, Keotsu accepts this person into his soul, marking them as someone of great importance to him. This imparts the weapon with all the abilities of Mythos, except for the ability to change shape, the original ability that Mythos possessed in its form of "Mikomi", long, long ago.
*Note: Cannot be used in battle. The purpose of this technique is to allow others to be able to use Mythos.
*Note: True to the blade, if a piece of Mythos is ever used against Keotsu, this technique will "deactivate", and that person will be as if they could not have used Mythos in the first place.
*Note: Those who Keotsu teaches "Brother" will be able to use (Ten'notsurugi: Mythos, Jinsei no Sāberu) Astrum Sword: Mythos, Vita Saber with all of its abilities, except the ability to change shape.

(Ten'notsurugi: Mythos, Jinsei no Sāberu) Astrum Sword: Mythos, Vita Saber
Rank: N/A
Type: Weapon
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage: +20 to Kenjutsu and Command Arts
Description: "The Blade of Heaven...Mythos the Life Sabre. One of the Ten Shinning Weapons." When Keotsu returned to the known continent from his journey to regions unknown, he returned with his blade Mythos in a new form; some secret event took place which reconfigured the blade and created a powerful connection between Keotsu and the sword. The Mythril blade retained its ability to change it's shape, but not it's mass when subjected to Keotsu's chakras, as did the scabbard of the weapon, though the two were no longer explicitly linked. A few improvements were noted by Keotsu, though: the blade seemed to resonate better than before, boosting his powers in battle; second, the blade came to reject energies that were foreign to Keotsu - that's to say, for example, if an enemy tried to use Nagashi after grabbing the blade, the energy would stop completely due to the nature of the blade's composition. This particular power comes about from the blade's new found synergy with Keotsu, in an effort to prevent it from being used against him. Retaining all the properties of the metal it was forged from, Mythos is indestructible and will never dull, in any of its forms.
*The user can manipulate the blade’s form during battle at any time, but it costs 35 chakra to do so, and also counts towards one of that turn’s three allotted moves.
*Can only be wielded by Keotsu. When someone else tries to hold the blade, it will reject their chakra and increase its density exponentially, making it to heavy to be lifted. However, it reverts to its original density when Keotsu is holding it.
*While the sword can transform into different types of weapons, like a katana or spear, it is bound by its mass, meaning that the form it takes on has to be within the realms of creating from the same amount of matter.
*While Mythos is in hand, Keotsu is unable to cast Genjutsu at all.
