Her name was Darvetta. I remember when I first met her. It was four years in the summer. We were at church getting ready to leave. When I first saw her, I couldn't believe my eyes. To me, she looked like a goddess. Her hair was shiny and laid out. She had a cute smile. And her eyes were as black as the night, which was great because I enjoyed the night time. Everything about her was just amazing. Finally, for the first time ever, I have found her: the perfect girl. We started out as friends but it didn't take long for us to realize that we had feelings for each other. And we weren't lying to ourselves. Deep down, we truly cared about each other and that we want to be together forever. So then, we started dating and surprisingly we hitted off pretty well. Unlike most relationships, ours was strong and steady. Yes, we have come across some obstacles along the way. But we kept on going. We never gave up on each other and we will never give up on each other. There is no one else I rather be with then with her. She makes me happy. She makes me feel calm and composed. She makes me feel like I'm on top of the world. Without her, I can't be me. I can't be the person she comes to for help and comfort. She's my girl, my wife, my queen. She's everything to me. Right now she is going through some tough times. She needs me right now but I can't because we are so far away. Excuses, excuses, I know. But it's the truth. But I won't let that stop me. From now on, I'll try to be there for her when she needs me. I'm not no Superman, but I am HER man and it's my duty to make sure she's alright. Until then, stay strong firefly.
