So Bleach would be better if Ichigo had a childish, carefree and adventurous personality that would make him want to be the Soul King?
Well we don't even see Ichigo that often.

Ichigo has much better personality than Luffy, and infinitely more so than Naruto. Ichigo is also much much smarter than Luffy and Naruto combined. But Ichigo has no ulterior goal. He moves forward along with the plot, Ichigo has no desire nor any wish. Wanting to 'save' your friend from danger is the lame if that's your only motivation. What do you do when there's no danger?
