It's a mistranslation as stated above, but even if it wasn't it'd only mean their are people above Jack which is already the case.

also that was only due to the poison gas which in general would be smart for doffy to make this an arieal fight we dont know shit about jack except that he is a close combat fighter we know doffy is one of the most versitle char

he can fight from the sky especailly when he has an aewakened devil fruit i personally think doffy would be a bad match up unless proven otherwise like some sort of parital transformation etc.. sure jack may be physically stronger then doffy (by hype etc) and more stamina
but haki experience speed and potentially durability (let him tank gamma knife and 2 gear fourths back to back and we c where he lies)

but anyway yeah doffy has all means to hit him from far away without (until proven otherwise) jack having a way to hit him bar the gas but doffy can fly higher to get out of the way
theres also overheat which is pretty fast and pack a punch

jack also has not shown to be physically stronger than jozu who got caught in doffy parasite and we stilld dont fully know how luffy broke out of it.. etc so then theres that as well...

haki/strings coming at you from everywhere from full powered awakened doffy... ppl sleep on him because he lost to luffy (+law) but get this folks luffy is main char ... so with that being said (with exception of kuma which both werent real fights) if u fight the main char most likely u lose. u may win 1st 3 times (croc) but being that hes the main char and its a shoenin that character will lose

I'm guessing your a big Doflamingo fan that really wants him to be stronger than Jack?

Jack has shown nothing to indicate he's above Doffy who was given an exceptional showing. But Jacks a new villain and new villains are always above old villains, yeah but that's not true, Enel and Croc were stronger than Foxy and he was intro'd later and Croc was as strong or stronger than Moriah. But Jacks a Yonkou top level crew member, yeah so was Pekoms and look how that worked out for him against a Super Nova(arguably one of the chumpest ones next to Bonney) But Jack took on the escort ships that had Doffy on them w/ an Admiral and ex Fleet Admiral, yeah and he lost with sinking some ships, Law can sink a battleship. But he fought "the dukes" for 5 days, yeah but we don't really have a gauge to measure "the Dukes" strength we've only seen them fight Jack and vise versa.

Has Jack shown armament haki or King's Haki? Has Jack shown feats of high speed? Has Jack shown versatility and adaptability with his attacks? No the only thing Jack has is he's a Yonkou member,new character and a high bounty and people lost their minds acting like he's the strongest person we've seen yet despite him coming and going with no interaction from the main characters. Unless/until he comes back proving that obituary false we shouldn't be viewing him as any different than a one off character.
