For those that don't know, HOCD is homosexual obsessive compulsive disorder. It's basically the fear that you are or may one day become gay. It also causes you to have intrusive thoughts and physical feelings that are unwanted And chances are(it's surprisingly common) that one of you is suffering from it, so you may find this helpful.
The fact that you are repulsed that you are having these thoughts means that you are NOT gay. However, if the only reason you are afraid of being gay is because you don't want to be shunned by society, you may be. Anyway's carrying on. If you are afraid of being gay because YOU don't want to be, because it doesn't feel right to YOU means you're straight.
Yes, it's sometimes normal to get an unwanted erection. Now, this may seem like a signal for homosexuality, but it's not. This is also all part of your HOCD.
example. A man, who has a pretty well built physic walks in and you think to yourself "Is that attractive?" then you feel like you are getting hard but you don't like the feeling coming with it? It's because you don't. HOCD attacks the mind and the mind is the control center for all parts of your body. But this is only with severe cases of HOCD.
The best way to get over it is to just ignore these feelings. You aren't actually feeling them. When you don't care it will go away. Trust me, I had it BAD a few years ago, I almost couldn't function. But, I got over it by just ignoring it. Now I can even joke about it.
