Basics:

11 Players aside
No player can touch the ball besides the Goalkeep as long as he's in the "box". (you'll see the white lines for the box)
90 Minutes are played, 45 minutes first half and 45 minutes second half.
30 Minutes Extra Time; if the score is level (This does not apply in league games)
Penalty shoot out; if the score is level after Extra Time (This does not apply in league games)
Stoppage Time is the added time played after the 90 minutes, all stops and pauses during the 90 minutes are added to make up this time.

Tackles and Fouls:

When you tackle a player unfairly it is called a "foul", a "free kick" is then given.
If you foul a player in the box a "penalty" is given instead of a free kick.

Unfair or bad fouls would be:

Sliding tackles without touching the ball.
Sliding tackles with two legs
Tackling a player when he doesn't have the ball
Tackling a player and not touching the ball
Grabbing, Heavy pushing, Pulling and hitting.

*Yellow and Red cards are given to those who foul seriously, depending on how serious the foul is you could get a warning, yellow or red card.

Positions:

Goalkeeper
Defenders - Right and Left Backs and Centre Backs.
Midfielders - Centre Midfield (defending/attacking), Wingers (Left and Right Midfielders)
Attackers/Strikers/Forwards - Centre Forward, Right and Left Forward

Extras:

Offside - (this explains it best)

Throw-in - When the balls goes out of bounds of the field from the sides, it can be thrown back in by one player.

Goal Kick - When the opposition kicks the ball out of bounds (by the goal post) on the opponents side

Corner Kick - When a player kicks the ball out of bounds (by the goal post) on his own side.

Substitute - Each team gets three players to substitute at any time in the game.

*If I left anything out someone can add to this.

MMM Thanks, I think I understand it a bit better now.
By the way, I know that by etymology >>real<< football is the one played with feet, but nowadays you have to make marginal note becuase lenguage evolves, so it doesn't matter wich is real, both are called football.
