Following Sir Derp's theory regarding The Sage and his lineage

i too also now believe he was an Uzumaki

Of course Sir Derp already went into great detail so i won't digress, but three things always bugged me

1. Naruto, [the main protagonist of the story and the way Kishi is hinting the re-incarnation of the Sage], is an Uzumaki

2. Nagato, [Another Uzumaki, also referred to as the Second Sage of 6th Paths], was given the Rinnegan, out of all shinobi by Madara why?

3. Why has the Sage's features never been shown? [I believe this is linked to the Uzumaki's trademark hair]


I even noticed subtle hints, such as when Kurama had the flashback of the sage addressing them in his, ''final sermon'', if you will. The sage judging from the manga had white hair.

Obito mentioned to Nagato's corpse that his trademark hair turned white due to the power he wielded.

[you can also mention obito's hair turning white recently, and just say it was down to the power of the Juubi/Rinnegan so i will accept that]


Again, i reckon it has become painfully obvious now, even things like the Sage SEALING the Juubi, and the Uzumaki's were famed for their sealing, also feared, [maybe other clans knew the heritage and did not want another ninja as powerful as him being born into their clan?]



But my most troubling question, is why did Madara choose Nagato for the rinnegan, this for me made me realize that Madara knew and went to great trouble in finding an Uzumaki for his eyes

It could be because Nagato was an Uzumaki and he was best suited for the Rinnegan.

Madara could have possibly known that Rikudou was an Uzumaki or just gave it to Nagato knowing what Uzumaki are capable of and that he would make a perfect host for the Rinnegan

I think he chose Nagato because of his Uzumaki qualities. Uzumaki possess immense reserves and a strong body but also the ability to properly host Dojutsu (The Uchiha portion).

I too believe sir deep obito's theory but maybe madara just picked Nagato because he's of senju lineage and uzumaki have strong life forces so he won't die easily thus ensuring madara's plan.

Let's assume if someone with sharingan activates his "own" powers, so we know its awakened powers would remain, even if given to someone else. Maybe that's exactly why Madara chose Nagato, because he wanted his eyes to mature more.

But why Nagato out of all the other Uzumaki?
And why was Nagato in the Rain village at that?

I'm almost certain that Madara wanted a very young kid due to the time needed to gather all bijus, create akatsuki and more. Also someone young is easy to manipulate.

If the sage was depicted with dark colored hair at first and in Kurama's flashback with white hair. It is obvious he is an Uzumaki, or just someone who created the bloodlines.

you see it takes alot of chakra to use sharingan by a non uchiha and madara was betrayed by his own uchiha clan so he couldn't trust any uchiha at that time and also rinnegan takes alot of chakra even for a uchiha so he had to find someone who have some damn good chakra reserves so that he can handle the rinnegan.
And who would be a better option than a pure uzumaki like nagato?
