So i've seen a TON of people claiming *insert name* is fodder. Okay first lets cover what fodder is. Fodder is something that has only 1 purpose and that sole purpose is to die. So if they have contributed ANYTHING to the story they ARE NOT fodder. Secondly if we know their name they are not fodder, some people haven't done any actual fighting but contribute to a character like Kurenai was a major role in the creation of Shikamaru's personality in Part 2. So her sole purpose is not to die. Or Sakura, yeah she isn't the greatest fighter, but she contributes to the story by healing Naruto, and being the person he wants to impress thus making himself stronger. So she doesn't have a sole purpose of dying/ Which would mean she isn't fodder. There you have it, hopefully you know what fodder is now. And i pray to everything holy you use it correctly now. :D

People usually use "fodder" to refer to people who would get stomped by say Konohamaru, isn't that right?

But you can't deny the fact that Fodder is a good metaphor for someone who is overall weak and unimpressive.

It works on most posts I have seen.
However calling strong character like: Nagato, Obito, Kabuto, Itachi, Minato, and other obviously strong shinobies are just using the word for the sake of trolling. XD

You know who you are trolls! :p :p :p :p :p :p

{Dictionary.reference.com}

"people considered as readily available and of little value: cannon fodder. "

{Urban Dictionary}

"One who's sole existence is to absorb projectiles"
"A person treated like a tool meant to die."

So which of these characters who have been named fit the definition of fodder? None.

Tell that to all the ninja who have died in the war. But yes i would agree with the definitions here.

The TRUE defintion of fodder:
something fed to domestic animals; especially : coarse food for cattle, horses, or sheep
(food)

Then you go to Cannon Fodder where you all take the term "fodder" from:
soldiers regarded or treated as expendable in battle
(Do not get confused with PAWN, with fodder you gain nothing but a pawn you could gain an advantage somehow)

Feel free to post your definition!

Minato is a fodder
Once again no, he was a driving force behind Naruto, and died PROTECTING Naruto. Yes he died, but he died a Pawn to set up Narutos rise. You're seeing one road when there are many, by closing yourself off to saying "He died, hes fodder!"
