What you niggas are crazy the bones produced anime was ****ing epic.

Both are good but i guess it all depends what serialization you prefer.

Personally i prefer the version Hiromu Arakawa allowed Bones Studio to create.

It was darker and more nihilistic.
The manga is more shonen oriented

It would be quite difficult to sum it up i will say halfway is where it diverges and is drastically different from its manga counter part
in almost every way yet still amazing.I don't know of any anime and manga to have drastic different endings yet still be successful as FMA.

FMA was made during a time when people were still trying to figure out how to deal with when the anime caught up with the manga. In this case, the animators decided to make their own story and not follow the manga. This resulted in a different ending then the manga. Me personally, I like FMAB's ending MUCH more then FMA. The ending to FMA left me unsatisfied and pissed off tbh. I would watch FMAB since it follows the original intent of the creator much more closely.
