A 25-year-old Central Florida man gunned down his older brother during an argument about a cheeseburger Thursday night, police said.

Benjamin Middendorf and his mother dialed 911 at 10:05 p.m. saying he shot his brother Nicholas with a .9-mm gun at their St. Cloud home, according to an affidavit released by the St. Cloud Police Department.

“My son shot my son!” their mother screamed on the 911 call. “I hope you go to jail!”

The brothers argued about a cheeseburger after Nicholas Middendorf, 28, and his mother returned to the 6th St. house from drinking at a bar, according to an arrest report cited by the Orlando Sentinel.

The affidavit obtained Friday by the Daily News notes the mother said her two sons were clashing over responsibilities, and Benjamin Middendorf said his older brother was bullying him.

Yet the incident report referenced by the Sentinel and WOFL-TV mentions that a cheeseburger sparked the argument that ended with Nicholas Middendorf lying on the living room floor with a chest wound. St. Cloud police Sgt. Denise Richards later confirmed the account.

First responders from St. Cloud Fire Rescue pronounced the wounded brother dead at 10:17 p.m., the affidavit shows. As an investigating officer walked toward the house about 20 minutes later, he reported hearing their mother say, “My son is going to jail because he shot my other son.”

won. I don't trust the news media. So, I am not giving any statements on this.
Two. However, if a bully got shot by the victim, and died, then that is good, Nothing of value is lost.

This is really misleading tbh. It was probably years of built up frustration, and anger that lead to the murder, not a cheeseburger :|.
It wasn't that night's cheeseburger...it was the cheeseburgers of the past two decades...

It's the news media playing on your ego and desire to feel better about yourselves without actually doing anything meaningful, instead of questioning the relation in that family, or whether the shooter is mentally stable or was it years of frustration and whether the argument was even about cheeseburger or entirely something else and the burger just served as a trigger, you all just scream 'lmfao what an idiotz lololXDXD' 'I am so much better!!!!'.

****ing idiots.

If you complain about news sites having agendas, and writing clickbait articles, yet eat this story up, you ARE the very cause of problem you complain about. Think, and if you genuinely fell for this, think.

It's yourself playing on your ego and desire to feel better about yourself without actually doing anything meaningful, instead of questioning the whether anyone in this thread actually cares about whether or not this story is true, or whether we're all just trying to have a good laugh and whether shooting somebody for any reason should be something we're all really solemn and serious about when we read a story about an argument that involved a cheeseburger, you just scream 'lmfao what idiotz lololXDXD'
'I am so much better!!!!'.

If you complain about forums making fun of silly things, and mocking clickbait articles, yet take this thread seriously, you ARE the very cause of problem you complain about. Think, and if you genuinely cared about this, think.
