The moon doesn't stop existing just because it's on the other side of the world, plus they can just create more moons via the Jubi's power. It's dumb to apply our real world physics in an alternate fantasy universe, I mean a man created the moon.

The infinite tsukuyomi could last 10 years in the genjutsu world and 1 second in the real world, like Itachi's.

However, blind people, Jins, Sharingan masters - those should all be immune to it.

I don't think blind people are immune. The light has to touch you. I'm not sure if eye contact with the moon is necessary.

I'd say they are, yes. Perfect Jins have the Bijuu to snap them out of it, blind people cannot be genjutsu'd with ocular techniques, Sasuke and Obito have a high tier doujutsu that would help them fight Madara's genjutsu.

What happens to those that are blind/born blind, (and or) when those that are effected end up dying eventually... Thus ending the Genjutsu ultimately, and wars and such will eventually happen again... Pretty much a bandage for the issues... (maybe even re-spawning the 10 tails/1-9 tails), I'm sure those tailed beasts won't stay peaceful for eternity... Maybe they will cause their next host(s) too beast thru said Genjutsu, and raise up if anything.

what about lunar or solar eclipses .
what about people that live in basements or beneath the earth? they shall not be affected.
and whats madara even going to be doing during this. sitting on a throne chilling?.

The moon serves as an eye and each person who will look into the moon will definitely be put in a genjutsu. Well, the only flaw with that is when daylight comes and every person aware of infinite tsukuyomi should not look into the moon at night time. No moon means no infinite tsukuyomi.
