Biology, Chemistry, Physics, all three scientific fields have the ability to prove that the Earth is round. Not all satellites are round, though. You need a certain size to have enough gravity to compress yourself to the shape of a sphere.

Topics like these are like molds. They can lay dormant for years and then suddenly infest the entire place if the circumstances are suitable. You just need to have one highly active person on social media make a comment on something like this and you get the snowball effect as his followers will react on the comment and the followers of his followers etc.

Coincidently today I saw comments of Tila Tequila about flat earth believers. Remains a stupid believe though.
