Flashbacks should never be longer then 3 chapters

They interrupt the flow of the story. When I was first hit with the zabuza flashback about that kids dad I was like, ugh who cares, but I knew it was only one chapter until we'd be back in the action. but with the kabuto flashback, obito flashback and now this flashback... I feel like to story has grinded to a halt.

I like to learn about past events in naruto but there needs to be a better way then interrupting the story for months at a time.

It is the correct way of explaining the story, but Kishimoto's pacing is weird in flashbacks, he makes one chapter showing Madara's bladder shyness, and then the next chapter he rushes the flashback.

Kishi has His own she dual to keep by His contract and how may episodes to produce,other wise He docent get paid and is subject to law suits. So do not complain it's just business.

I don't know exactly. In some cases I would try and have flashbacks removed and replaced by a character simply explaining his motivations. In other cases I would probably have 1-2 chapter flashbacks over a longer period of time, so maybe you get a flashback, then a couple plot chapters then another flashback.

This I arguably the most important flashback so far. I hope it takes as long as it needs to, whether that's another month or another week. I rather enjoy learning how things got together and why they happen.

if you do not want the story to remain interrupted for months,then you should change the manga that you read,because the more detailed the filler is the longer it would take to explain the plot.Kishi should publish 2 chapters per week or make the weekly chapters longer like 25-35 pages long.

I agree with OP. Kishi doesn't know how to organize the details of his arcs. I mean If you're going to write the fight scenes, let it just be fights. Then after the fighting is done, then it is time for flashbacks, let that just be flashbacks. Everytime we get to a certain point, where things JUST start to get exciting, he f*cks it up with flashbacks and whatnot.

HOWEVER! This time, he's doing it right. Hashirama is telling Sasuke the story of him and Madara. This is ok. These flashbacks are necessary. The Kabuto fight, they ruined that with the flashbacks, and Sasuke barely did anything.

There's a lot more examples as well.

This, I agree with this, except that you said he should change mangas if he doesn't want the mange to remain interrupted. THAT'S the problem.

I think he likes to abuse the 'suspense aspect' just a tiny but, but as I said up there I like this history 'arc'.

I think this current flashback was definetly needed as now we know how powerful Hashirama and Madara are however I was a bit disappointed as we didn't get to see how powerful Izuna was and never saw him do a single jutsu.
