Actually the battle against Kaguya with skipping character development was pretty good until chapter 685 with chapter 685 included. I really enjoyed reading that battle in manga. The idea to separate them was very clever and it would be even better if it came from Kaguya herself.
From now on, Kaguya first should go to strike Sasuke to give him one vs one battle, but clearly Kishi wanted to avoid showing Sasuke's skills and full arsenal preserving it for Naruto vs Sasuke battle.
Then later Kaguya would come back and test Naruto after beating Sasuke badly leaving him alive as she was only testing them. While Kaguya fought against Naruto as in cannon, with Kaguya haiving upperhand all the time Obito would go with Sakura to retirve Sasuke.
Then it was again good until Kaguya was forced to use Gravity dimenssion as it shouldn't affect her so she would look supperior and boss.
Then it would come as in original with Sasuke and Naruto showing more skills againt Kaguya, then her monster form until end of 688 chapter.
689 chapter should be completly rewritten. First Kakashi shouldn't be able to hurt Kaguya, even if then it would be minor damage creating opportunity for Naruto and Sasuke to try to seal her, but they would fail for some reason.
Kaguya would felt once danger so she would get so mad to finally instead of creating dimenssion use Giant TSB to wipe out her dimenssiona along with them imploding it as Obito did in past or to use Juubidama planet level.
Somehow Team 7 get upperhand after Hagoromo released IT, so Kaguya would get sealed and I would be fine with it, just 3 chapters more.
In the end she should went away with bang like Kid Buu, Aizen.
