Fix Shippuden's Ending in 5 Changes

On retrospect, a revised version of the Naruto finale.

Give me your points, in no more than 5. ​

Its difficult to pinpoint it down to five changes, I don't know how much I can do with each change anyway...say though, if I could change the last fifty chapters I would cut Madara and Kaguya entirely and just make Obito the final threat. Redeem him from the whole Rin bull with something worthy of a final villain. Like, have him kill some people, have him be a real threat and actually succeed in casting the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Naruto though manages to escape because of the Bijuu chakra inside of him after meeting Hagoromo and drags Sasuke with him. The final battle would be them, maybe some more people too, versus Obito, who ultimately is proven wrong and has some sort of epiphany before he dies. Sasuke doesn't return to the village and we don't get a fight....yet, leave it for another time, like a separate movie or a different continuation from Boruto.

EDIT: You know, I typed this before I watched the video, but now that I see this...well, its not that different.

1- Kaguya will be saved for a movie...
2- Oro/Madara is going to be the final villain
3- Make the final fight ( Naruto Vs Sasuke ) greater by making them use some new jutsus....and decrease the amount of flashbacks in that fight...
4- Obito is going to be the one who'll use PS
5- Final chapter should be....Naruto's wedding in the first part...then show the old gen ( focus more on them than on the new gen )...then show hokage Naruto....also give Kabuto, oro, and team taka some love....I feel like the final chapter should of been 40+ pages tbh...

Love it. Obito as FV really is one of the biggest cut-for-time narrative improvements you can make. Our takes are pretty similar, though I do think you need to resolve Naruto and Sasuke's rivalry. Whether it be by fists or by a point being proved- it has to be left somewhere and maturely resolved.

Well, if I had to find a solution to their rivalry, I'd have the fight happen, but rather than it being the final fight of the manga, I'd have it happen off screen during the time skip to Boruto and have people constantly, constantly reference it. Kind of like how Madara versus Hashirama was, for a while there, this epic unseen clash hyped up to no end. And eventually I'd go back and show it. It'd probably keep people a lot more interested in the sequel if there was the possibility of seeing Naruto and Sasuke duke it out there, even if its a bit cheap to do so.

Absolutely love this idea, and it'd drive the NB type of fan c r a z y.

Though I think the resolution of the fight is imperative to the series, the battle itself is inconsequential but Sasuke's tear/confession as well as what they were fighting over create great moments and are great ideas.

1. Kaguya doesn't overtake madara she just manifest herself through black zetsu after he impales madara.

2. Dms Obito (he also has six paths power like in the panel where he regains his tsb staff) vs Madara while Sasuke and Naruto vs kaguya

3. Obito asks Naruto and kakashi for forgiveness right before he dies.. madara tries to take kaguyas power only to be absorbed

4. Ps kakashi, Naruto and Sasuke vs kaguya

5. Naruto and Sasuke fight is much longer and they are using more of their full power. We see new techs from both. Naruto is more diverse with the use of his tsb and he shows off rsm power while Sasuke uses more paths from his rinnegan... the fight finally ends in a similar way but with an armless Naruto kneelin over armless Sasuke (kinda how Sasuke was in vote 1) but he refuses to kill him. Naruto then drops next to Sasuke the same way they were originally and they have the same conversation.. Sakura and kakashi find them in the same way.

6. Everything is is kept the same

3. Make the villages fight each other (since some might actually want to be trapped in genjutsu, idk I think it adds an interesting dynamic instead of just bad vs good, now you have a clash of ideologies)
4.decrease the power levels by a factor of ten
5. More meaningful deaths, aka: give side characters more attention

-Never introduced Kaguya but keep her as a sealed legend(Bcus Kishi cant handle someone as powerful as her to fit in the plot and still can make sense)
-Make Naruto and Sasuke vs JJ Madara more interesting. Not just running here and there.
-Keep Madara as the final villain
-Kill Obito, Guy, Sakura, Kakashi
-Do more creative battles between Sasuke and Naruto

 

[Ansatsuken]

If I'm being serious the problem are not the materials that already presented to us but we didnt get enough from each of the materials. If we wanted a proper story/plot from the 'original' idea Kishi needs to be more creative and the story can be a little longer than just 700 chapters. We're not getting much actually but we are lacking much. If you think post-Edo Tensei Madara already gave us proper presentations of his power and skill, I can openly says he was not. Just one example. Chapters were being wasted by the lack of creativity be it in explanation/revelation, back story/flashback, Fighting choreography, settings etc .

 

[Hyuga Prodigy]

Tobi would be the perfect FV in P2 but I feel like Black Zetsu is suitable to be the FV since he's the one who started everything. From the very beginning, I always thought of Zetsu had the most ominous feeling and his character is just too mysterious. Kishi did good job trying to sway by everything that focuses on the bigger picture so that would make Zetsu as minor character and to make him the least expected.

The reason why Black Zetsu would've been the better choice as the FV is because he made his first introduction in Valley of the End after Naruto vs Sasuke Clash at the end of Part 1 and since then it was built up to where NOONE would expect him to be kaguya son reincarnate; It would be better to have a reincarnate son than taking a cliche route by reviving the Originator of chakra which diminishes the ancient mythical being.

 

[Joshutsu]

Change the power levels. Leave Kaguya out. Open ended pairing results.

Big 3, there are other smaller things i would have liked to see handled differently but they don't really matter that much.

I mean, these both seem hugely unsatisfying and kinda defeat the purpose of the show? Still curious though. Would make a great 'what if' chapter.

.Sakura dying instead of Neji. That way, Neji ends up with TenTen and Sasuke ends up with Karin or just wanders alone forever.

.Obito not being Tobi, but a zombiefied Zetsu/Izuna hybrid

.Madara not being trolled, never winning a single fight with Hashirama, and the black zetsu moment. He should've been the final villian. End of story.
