What do you think would happen?

No swimming, but it's okay since they can breathe?
Do they still get weak in water?
Maybe since they are stronger in water and weaker on land, putting them in the water makes them about the same strength as on land?

Gotcha. I figured you might not. But yeah. Devil fruits affect all species the same. Meaning they weaken you in water to a state of helplessness. However, since fishmen can breath under water, they do not drown.
