[Discussion] first straw hat member in each ocean pattern

all the first members in each ocean follow a pattern

1.Roronoa Zoro(east blue)
2.Tony Tony Chopper(grandline)

Both guys were introduced while being tied (literally and figuratively onto something)

- Zoro was introduced tied into a post at Morgan's base.
- Chopper was introduced tied into Dr. Kureha's sleigh.

Both of them had also been known or had a reputation of being a monster.

- Coby described Zoro as a bloodthirsty devil.
- Chopper was being called a monster by villagers of Drum Kingdom.

Luffy saved things important to them.

- Luffy retrieved Zoro's katanas.
- Luffy protected Dr. Hiluluk's pirate flag.

In their recruitment arc, they helped Luffy fight a boss who was pretty much, hated in his own turf.

- Captain Morgan was hated by his own subordinates and even the very townspeople under his jurisdiction.
- Wapol was hated in Drum Kingdom.

3.Jinbei...hopefully(new world)

Jinbe was introduced in Impel Down, tied in chains; just like Zoro and Chopper.

Jinbe and the whole Fishmen race had the reputation of being "monsters" literally.
Luffy saved something important to Jinbe, your choice; Noah, Fishman Island, Shirahoshi or King Neptune.

Jinbe fought alongside Luffy against Hody Jones and his gang.

I wonder if other straw hat members have a pattern as well

What are you really saying? Jinbei already said he would join the crew when he finishes his quest thing.

i'm just saying that there exists a pattern in the first male crew member in each ocean.........
i know jinbei has said hew would join the straw hats....but oda is unpredictable.....

Nice eye.

Another thing I noticed is that Zoro and Chopper already had a negative perception of pirates when they first met the crew. Figuratively speaking they were very tied to things they already tied to certain things like you said. Chopper to the lady and Zoro to his ego as a swordsman. Kinemon was also tied to his ego as a swordsman.

But I'm just fishing here I know nobody else wants another swordsman but I really like Kinemon.
