[Discussion] First Jobs

I just want to know, for those in the work force, what were your first jobs. How did you apply? And what was the experience like?

I'm pretty close to finishing school, and I've handed out quite a few resumes to places I'd be possibly comfortable working at, an EB Games Retail Store, Local Pharmacy and some other little cafe type joints...I just don't know how long to wait till I can expect a call and that. Hearing people's experiences would calm my nerves a little.xd

My first job was at some big marketing company, I worked in the assembly division putting all sorts of stuff together. It wasn't too bad for the time, I got the job through a local recruiting agency.

First job was working in the tobacco fields when I was 14 because you can't yet a work permit till you're 16 where I live. Needless to say you don't need a work permit in the fields.

You just gotta make sure to call them almost everyday, basically show that you are actually interested in getting the job.
