Personality: Morteus is a very complex and quiet Jashinist who loves watching others suffer by cursing them and hurting himself as he turns pain into pleasure. However he only hurts those who he considers they deserve it. He is very respectful and tolerant, towards others beliefs (which is why he is considered the black sheep of the Jashin Cult) however he has his limits and will not be afraid to hurt others feelings. His favorite color is black and loves to wear a long black cape to hide his scars.

Background Info.
History:
Konoha: Kuraikami was born in the village of Konoha but his family moved for unknown reasons when he was only 3 months old. His family parted from Konoha and moved to Oni No Kuni.
Oni No Kuni: Kuraikami grew up with his family and lived peacefully with the love of his parents and siblings. When Kuraikami was 10 years old there was an invasion, unknown ninjas attacked the village and killed many of it's inhabitants. As one of the guardians of the village, his father rushed and defended the village from these hearthless murderers. His father fought bravely and defeated them with the help of his sharingan. After he had succesfully defeated the invaders he was found out and accused of being a demon. The villagers not knowing that the Sharingan was actually a Kekkei Genkai sentenced his entire family to death. Kuraikamis father quickly planned an escape for his family but only the children were able to get away. His mother and father were overpowered and taken prisoners. The children ran through the village and then his older brother was killed by an arrow, Kuraiami turned and cried but one of his sisters grabbed his hand and kept running. Then a second arrow reached his other sister and killed her, Kuraikami stopped and ran towards his fallen sister only to realize she was already dead. Kuraikami was dragged by his other sister and they both ran as fast as they could, they both noticed the gates were about to close so she pushed him as far as she could and then the gate shut. Kuraikami turned around and realized he was outside and she was still inside, one soldier grabbed her from her hair and slashed her throat. Kuraikami was terrified and froze, the gates began to re-open but he wouldn't move. A misterious figure appeared and disappeared with child leaving no trace.
Jashinist's Church: Kuraikami woke up in an unknown room filled with many candles. He got up and walked out to a hall that lead to a great chamber filled with many ninjas dressed in black. There was a symbol on the ceiling a circle with a triangle turned up-side down in the middle. An old man apporached Kuraikami and asked him how he felt. Kuraikami's response was "scared" The man offered him freedom, power and immortality. Kuraikami accepted and began learning the ways of "Jashin" Jashin was now a powerful and misterious cult where one could gain immortality and power by worshipping the great god Jashin and offering him sacrifices. Kuraikami met other fellow Jashinists such as Hidan, however they did not get along. 7 years after Kuraikami became a Jashinist he was summoned by the Head Priest, the priest asked a simple question, "What is your sole purpose?" Kuraikami responded with a simple answer: "To slay the murderes of my family." The priest smiled and asked him: "What is your name as of now?" Kuraikamis eyes glew and responded: "Morteus." Morteus was however a very complex man, he worshipped Jashin but did not always follow his mentor's rules. He was cast out and he decided after that to travel the world and gain power.
On the road: One day morteus was traveling and came across Sasori and witnessed how Sasori destroyed an entire nation by using puppets.
Morteus loved the idea of using puppets as weapons, so he began creating his main weapon first. He crafted a powerful scythe and adorned it with the skull of his latest victim.
Goal: Morteus has only one true goal: To destroy the people who murdered his family.
