Personality
Eiji is a cheerful and contented individual; though young, Eiji loves to socialise with the senior citizens of the village hidden in the clouds for their tales of wisdom and accounts of warfare during the second and third great ninja wars. It is from this that Eiji developed his absolutist moral rule or ‘ninja way’ of never killing an opponent no matter how malevolent one is, though repeatedly told by some veterans of the war, Eiji himself has never really experienced ‘hate’ or had to make the choice of killing an enemy in order to save those closest to him, despite this he still insists on up heaving this rose tinted values no matter the situation. He is portrayed as a comforter and optimistic character who when situations turn ugly reassures his comrades with the line ‘It could always get worse?’ and let’s off an occasional joke to keep moral high. Despite never being selected captain of missions or playing any substantial role in a squad, Eiji prefers to get on with the task at hand rather than holding grudges. To further this, Eiji always looks at the better side of things, first seen when he was sent back to deliver Intel to the Raikage whilst his platoon was actively engaging a rouge band of Ninja; Eiji saw this as a test of faith and loyalty to the village rather than an underestimation of his skill. His trust in those around him and for his village makes Eiji a perfect mirror image of what a true Shinobi stands for, though there are those who may seek to exploit this and use it against him...
Eiji speaks in a warm-hearted fashion of riddles and one liner jokes that he has picked up over the years from the wise men and sages of his village. To diffuse situations between comrades; Eiji refers to parables of old such as ‘The two doves of Satori’ in which it tells of two doves who fight in unison to drive of a pack of hawks. The base lines being without unity and trust in one another, the hawks pick off the doves one by one.
Though faced with the possibility of losing a cherished childhood friend who lost both legs in a rigged trap if an upcoming medical surgery fails and the looming threat of the Akatsuki over the horizon, Eiji only has one opinion on the matter.

Background Info.
History: During the third great ninja war the Konoha relied heavily on many clans such as the Hyuga clan and the Inuzuka clan for their sensory type ability’s to spot and identify any enemy ambushes before they could execute them. Though with casualties running high and seamless never ending war; the Konoha needed every possible ninja to step out onto the battlefield, one person who answered this desperate call was Eiji’s mother: Chikako. Six months pregnant with Eiji; Chikako was in no condition to hold her own against an opponent let alone on a battlefield. Though arguing to fellow Inuzuka clan members she would stay out of the fights and remain as a scout for her platoon they remained unconvinced and begged her to stay. Tsume Inuzuka (Kiba’s mother); outraged most by Chikako’s decision made the controversial statement ‘What of Eiji? Kiba was supposed to watch over him! ’ not only left Chikako ponder in thought but worse suggested Chikako and her unborn child would not survive the war.
Though after just 30 seconds of silence Chikako replied ‘I promise to you Tsume, they will meet whether I live or not, the Will of Fire is what gives us Shinobi the strength to continue fighting against all odds. Symbolizing the hopes and dreams of the previous generation being passed to the next, so too will Yuji grow up to become a great Shinobi and one day cross paths with Kiba. Until then be at ease and take care of our clan and the village.’ With that, she left the gates of the Konoha village for the very last time.
A week had passed and Chikako found herself and her platoon being overwhelmed by Cloud Ninja in all directions during a patrol mission on the borders of the Konoha, if any of them were to even have a chance to survive they would have to surrender or face certain death at the hands of their enemy’s. Because of Chikako’s frail condition her platoon encircled around her, making a last stand in order to protect her and her unborn. Slowly one by one, each one them was cut down in front of Chikako. Alone, vulnerable and unable to perform jutsu’s she knew it was over and lay on her knees with her head hanging an inch off the ground.

A shadowy figure approaches, a silver katana in one hand and a sharp bronze dagger in the other, the shaded figure stands adjacent to Chikako and removes his hood to reveal a scarred bearded man, his eyes so dark and strong it petrified Chikako to look a second further, the chilly autumn wind blew his long rough pitch black hair into ascending in the air, wavering about wildly. With both blades to her neck, the bearded man says ‘I have come to slay Konoha ninja not unborn children. Though we are enemies and we have orders to eliminate any Konoha targets in the area, we are not as monstrous as you may perceive us to be. I will let you live but I cannot allow you to return to your village, you have already seen my face and may attempt to deliver Intel about our platoons ability’s and techniques. But know this; the moment your child takes his first breath is the moment you inhale your last. Does that sound fair?’ Chikako given no choice nods her head in agreement.

3 months pass and Chikako finds herself in the Cloud village hospital; finally giving birth to her child Eiji. Given a brief moment to hug and gently kiss Eiji he is then taken from her and given to a clan of specialist Water type Shinobi who will adopt him as one of their own.
A hooded figure enters the room simultaneously. Slowly, he approaches the hospital bed and removes his hood. Sure enough, it was him. With his eyes fixated on Chikako’s he says ‘I knew it would come to this...Konoha ninja. I wish this could be under different circumsta- ...’ interrupted halfway by the panting Chikako who mumbles ‘I told you Tsume... whether I live or not...’ She pauses for breath ‘Eiji will become a great Shinobi... and one day... hopefully...cross paths with Kiba...’ and with that she exhales her breath for the very last time.
It was from that point on that Eiji grew up as a Cloud ninja completely oblivious to his true heritage of being a leaf Shinobi. With the war long over, before Eiji became a genin, he feels the Cloud is his home and like no other, it is because of this that his sensei feels it is unneccasary to tell him the truth about his past until the time catches up with him.
With his silver katana and bronze dagger equipped, the bearded man takes Eiji on their next assigned mission...
